    Good vid. A lot like the spectral 125

      Thank you! Ya definitely similar! The wildcat has geo catered a bit more towards agility/playfulness over speed (higher BB, shorter chainstays, steeper HTA)

    How’d retuning the shock go? Did adding progression liven it up the way you were hoping for?

      Good question! I actually over cooked it the first time haha, so took out one of the rings and added about 20 PSI (running 240) and it’s been great!

    Bike 1 = aggressive 150mm steel hardtail 27.5
    Bike 2 = 150mm full sus ebike 27.5
    Bike 3 = 200mm DH bike 29r

    is it simillar to specialized status?

    • @ridingwithjoshandwendy
      @ridingwithjoshandwendy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not super similar; they’re both mullets but that’s about where the similarities end. The status has 140 or 160mm of travel depending on the model and a 63 degree HTA. The Wildcat has 125mm of travel and a 64 degree HTA with the mullet. So the Status caters to more bike park/enduro stuff, whereas the Wildcat is closer to the fee of a slopestyle bike/dirt jumper.

    Would you do a mullet set up on a 2023 Roscoe 7?

    • @ridingwithjoshandwendy
      @ridingwithjoshandwendy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably not, the bottom bracket is already relatively low and I think you'd start having to worry about pedal strikes. I tend to prefer adding a 29" front wheel/fork to a 27.5" bike rather than the other way around.

    How does putting a 27.5 wheel on raise the Bb? You would need to increase fork travel by doing that. I'm not picturing chainstay length making any change to that. Unless you did some sorta flip chip?

    • @ridingwithjoshandwendy
      @ridingwithjoshandwendy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the bottom bracket height reduced (BB closer to ground), but the amount of bottom bracket was reduced to, meaning that the BB is actually higher in relation to the axel then it was before, and this the measurement that will determine how you feel in relation to the bike. The further you’re weight is below the axel the more stable and “in the bike” you fee, where as being closer to or even above the axel makes the bike more maneuverable, but a little more unstable too (picture the BB in relation to the axe on a BMX to get an idea of this taken to the extreme)

      You should try and underfork it at 130 and see if that improves things at all. Usually the best mullet convert platforms start life out as 27.5 bikes to begin with.

  • @michaelrieser9928

    Didn’t the bottom bracket become lower with the 27.5 in back? Wouldn’t that make the cornering better cause your feet are lower?
    Also your in between sizes of lg ang xl, your awesome with what your able to do on the lg. Do you ever think about trying and xl? Im in between too and I find there is stuff I like about the compact cockpit of a lg but draw backs sometimes. Also some geo numbers on larges get small and make it even tighter.

      And this bike is a bit on the larger side of a L, with a 481mm reach. But I tend to like bikes that feel a bit smaller and more maneuverable for the type of riding I prefer

    How much is it? I'm 142 lbs. 5'9 and I'm looking for a decent mountain bike under a thousand I know that's a tall order. I want it for trail riding climbing and jumping. I know that's a lot to ask for in $1,000 but if anyone has some suggestions places..please drop them below. Thanks
    I'm living in Oklahoma for now.
