Is the Saris MHS DUO The New Benchmark Bike Rack?!
The Saris MHS DUO is, at least on paper, a more versatile, better performing rack than anything else on the market; but can it live up the hype? That's what we've tried to figure out over the past month, and these are our honest thoughts on the MHS system. Note that Saris did give us this rack to review, but they have not seen this video before posting and our thoughts on their products are entirely our own.

Use the discount code Josh5%off to save 5% at rsdbikes.com I rode my first Mullet (29" wheel up front, 27.5" in back) at the start of the year and was instantly hooked the feeling. The changes to the geometry and combination of ride characteristics from both wheel sizes suits my riding style perfectly. So I knew it was only a matter of time before I gave the mullet ...

I ride a 2023 Orbea Laufey!
Your the o Lu video that tells how not just showing it
is 18-32 good ratio?
what do I do if my bike has 3 gears at the pedals?
I’m also 6’1”. I was back and forth between the large and XL. Do you think the XL would still be a nice ride for you?
Jumping, the 27.5 will be more playful. But I think the real benefit of the mullet is cornering and berms vs a true full 29.
May not be in the right gear, never in the wrong gear.
Only one time I’ve ridden a geared mountain bike was @ Happy Jackmin SE Wyoming. Thankfully I redeemed myself by riding Happy Jack this past October on Ultron, my completely badass SS. As for this video, ridden Central Oregon extensively. Gears or no gears, you should go riding there.
Слепаков, ты ли это?
Hi, it's your cousin Hudson. I appreciate you talking my dad into getting my DJ my first actual bike. I hope you guys start posting more.❤
Awesome man ! Love the design philosophy and father and son teamwork.
I’ve been riding SS since the early OOs. Is it cool again? Tip. Gear down not up.
So you’re reviewing this bike without riding it🤷♂️
Thansk for video
It's easy to look through blinkered vision and see only what you want to see. Every technique that you claim is learned by riding single speed is just as easily learned on a geared bike, and for every benefit, there are also detriments. Using you upper body to help climb hills is just as relevant on geared bikes, and riders tend to do it automatically. Maintaining speed is similar. If a rider is interested in speed and efficiency, they learn how to be efficient irrespective of how many gears they have. Deliberately limiting your bike also limits your riding in some way. Using gears properly is a skill in itself, and they open up options that simply aren't available on a single speed.
The numbers 27,5 or 29 or 26 are very rough. It's incorrect to use them in the formula. The correct way will be: Gear inches = Chainring / Cog * (Wheel diameter in inches), where Wheel diameter in inches = Wheel circumference in inches / pi (3,14159265).
Thanks for your videos Im getting a mc v2 al 29 and looking for a 27.5+ to put on any suggestions for a reasonable wheel set not looking for cheap but not crazy expensive either thanks for any suggestions
REI Co-op drt 1.3 Nice omission there bud
Throw a 140mm fork on it and it suddenly becomes an aluminum Marin El Roy.
Omg!!! I dirt jump mine ALOT!! Just bump up the air pressure in the fork. Like every one in the world does. Also mine is the 29’r which I run mullet sometimes.
I am still using a 1993 super v900 with a headshok.
Growler 20, swapped with Spank Spoon pedals and Stem, fork RS 30 Silver R 160mm
Just got myself an brand new Orbea Alma M20 for 1500 Euros (1250 Pounds) and although not on that list, I am as happy with the bike as with the awesome black friday deal of one of my local stores :D
I absolutely love my on one hello Dave! The long chainstay and steep seat angle make it so easy to pedal up the hills. And the predictable handling gives so much confidence for a hardtail.
Hi, when we watch the Kona Honzo 😮 wtf with those cables ❓ no no no sorry l don't give 3.099 EUR for this bike. Come on, even the drop seater have an external connection 😮 My bike hardtail is cheaper and nicer, w good spec. With 3.000 nowadays l buid a machine with carbon, 1000W engine and big fork.
I've never tried and may in the future, just for change in pace of riding. The other thing you didn't mention crank length, wouldn't the leverage and distance pedaled change with crank lengths? I can imagine you'd want longer cranks for more leverage?
Is this successor of F3 bike? How does it compare to that? I had F3 and loved how light weight it was.
Hi there. This is something just a little bit different. You need to change your channel name like "Riding with Josh, Wendy and Doggy... lol How could you let your dog's name out off this and use him/she in the opening pic? 🤣 Now about that geometry. XC that can handle some technical terrain but without compromising the climbing. Thanks in advance ✌
No Kona bikes on this list is okay but I'm a little surprised one didn’t make the cut. Yep I'm a fan of Kona.
Another drawback - lower back pain and lateral muscle pulls from all the twisting while jumping on the pedals!
Gracias 🙏🏻
Great content mate. Deciding on which Stanton I want so your videos are super helpful.
Where are you finding the hello dave so cheap, I can only find it for 2000 on the planet x website
Do you have the full video? Love the channel man! It makes me want to upgrade my hardtails current frame to a steel one!
Is this strictly an exercise in how much you can spend on a hardtail or am I missing the part where we learn whether any of these bikes is a pleasure to ride?
With the 29” wheel you also carry more momentum as well as achieving better rollover. Even better with 29 plus (29x3).
Been desperately trying to sell by Intense Tracer Pro so I can get this bike…
I have the Rocky Mountain Soul 10 and I'm amazed with its road manners on pavement; smooth ride, great drivetrain and hydraulic brakes that stop on a dime. Your review was spot on. I would have loved to see a Kona make your list.
I know bryan
Holysheed the whole parktool galore there 🫡🫡🫡😂😂😂
Good stuff
Because the marketing people are telling you to.
Man!!! Still no love for the Norco Torrent.
I want to do this for my sq3 … any advice ? Trying to get used parts lol. So just a fork that takes 29 inch? Have any budget recommendations? Will probably need wheels and tires too right ? Will look on marketplace.. Should I get same type of tires on the front ? The assegais ?
Any weight, for the size small?
So double it for Canadians. 2 grand or more for something equivalent. Gross.
If you add more axle to crown height by increasing fork travel it shortens the reach not increases it. It will lengthen the wheelbase tho
I am thinking about getting into the sport, but i can’t afford much (i am young), and so i was wondering what bikes you guys recommend, the two i’ve seen and had in mind is the marin bobcat trail 3 and the gt avalanche comp, any thoughts would be great!
I have 2 beautiful full suspension bikes, one carbon and one aluminum. But the bike I'm always thinking about and wanting to ride is my burly steel hardtail
😮dude really the Judy is not the problem is just too heavy for hardtail, geometry everything is wrong with this ,I got Rockrrider that does better than this at half the price and 3 kg less
