    I watched and liked this video 3 years ago when I was just getting back into the hobby and I remember thinking , in time I might be able to do this , I am now flying mostly with my Radiomaster Boxer and pairing it up to various smaller planes, I just came across the video again this eve as I await delivery of a Radiolink R8XM and a Byme-A V.2.0 . Ready to fit to a Kootai Ki84 I wouldn't be doing this without being inspired to go for it by guys like you making theses videos thank you so much.

    You should really try acro mode it works incredibly well and is great for flying the planes because you can do aerobatics and still have self-leving leveling.

    Great that you got the Byme-A to work in this. I used 1 in a Banggood "Little Pigeons" 4-ch build - finally successfully. You wouldn't know anyone who has got The Byme-D version to work in a Delta Wing? I have 2 but am yet to be able to get 1 working properly.

    This Video is exactly What i was looking for. Thanks a ton.
    Apology I missed some of the description, as I have some difficulty understanding your ascent. I have some questions: 1) Does the Gyro has Beginner and intermediate mood? 2) Is the gyro 6 axis? 3) understand the micro receiver has been discontinued, do you have any other recommendation? I will also be using Radiomaster TX16S. Thanks in advance

      yes at 6.33 i show the gyro modes available - the stabilize mode is the beginner 6G (self level) and the gyro mode is just a little assistance 3d
      and i have ordered 2 other micro receivers to try which i am hoping they work the same links for you

    Did you try to bind the original receiver to a OpenTx radio. I thought it would be the V761 protocol, but it doesn’t work. Maybe is a different protocol.

    Do you think the Byme gyro works as
    Well as the X-stabilization in the 400mm warbirds from Eachine and Volantex? I’m looking for a gyro that controls similar to the beginner’s mode
    On the volantex. Please let me know.

  • @ronkievit6843
    @ronkievit6843 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I installed the Byme A in the same P51. Everything works normal except the elevator corrects in the wrong direction. All surfaces move correctly with the sticks etc... Any idea what's wrong? TIA.

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Give the button on the Byme-A 2 short presses. The second LED will change to the opposite state (on/off) and the stabilization correction on the Elevator will be reversed. The Tx stick control will also reverse so you will have to reverse that again in the transmitter. That's why you must ALWAYS set the stab correction BEFORE setting the Radio Stick direction. NOTE that you MUST do the Level Calibration BEFORE you do anything else, to tell the Byme-A which way up it is installed and what is level.

      @@theoztreecrasher2647 I usually use Hobby Eagle gyros and this is a first for Radiolink. It seems like it takes a minute or more to initialize and activate. Is it normal for this type?

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ronkievit6843 The Byme (and many other similar-type gyro stabs) WILL NOT initialize until the plane is sitting right way up on its legs and STILL. Then it takes about 10 seconds or so to fully boot up. That is normal. (The Kopilot Lite GPS-return-capable stab takes about 20 secs!)
      Note also that some of these stabs require a power cycle for setting inputs to hold properly. I don't think that this 1 does.

    You never set up channel 7?

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This stab unit is an odd one in that, if you don't set up channel 7 on a switch, you can still get 1 half of the available mode selections by switching the channel 5 switch. Mostly it seems to be the Manual/Gyro/Beginner half but that may only be because the center point of your channel 7 is slightly off to 1 side of 1500usecs (0%) - You might just as easily end up with only Hover/Acrobatic/Manual! If anyone out there has these units and access to the appropriate equipment (Signal Generator, Oscilloscope etc) it would help if they would check what exactly are the actual changeover points.
