Thanks for explaining so clearly. Really makes me believe I could do this. Going to do my deck with this.

Do NOT use this product. There are tons of videos about how it fails and there is even a class action lawsuit. Sand your deck if its rough and stain it with oil based stain. MUCH better

@@JoeClarke6819 Thanks for the feedback. Homeowner was well aware of the controversy and said she was using it based on a neighbor's experience. Time will tell. Thanks for watching.

@@askillthatpays It could rot your boards because it traps moisture. It just sits on top of the wood. It doesn't penetrate. You might not see the effects until maybe several years down the road. Every single deck I've seen with Deckover on it has been an unmitigated disaster. When it inevitably fails, it fails catastrophically. In many or most cases, the only way to fix it is to replace boards. You can't sand it or powerwash it off.

I found myself having to use the brush more than the roller. One thing i fid like about the deckover paint, was the ability it had to gill in any deformations in the decking. Especially the screw holes. It filled everything evenly & looks very similar to composite decking now

That's good to hear. FYI this has a terrible reputation with failure and pending lawsuits. Not many fans. This video was shot as a favor to a neighbor who wanted help applying it and she was well aware of the stories. Her application has held strong for 2 years in TN sun and rain without any issues. I hope it works out for you. Thanks for watching.

Good luck. There are all kinds of complaints about this product and its integrity. This person is a friend of mine and I was simply helping her. She was aware of the complaints and wanted to do it anyway. Her's is 2 years old and still looks great. Thanks for watching.

I’m in the process of taking this crap off because it’s peeling, it’s hard like concrete I have to use angle grinder to remove it

This might be THE most complained about product on TH-cam. Personally, I would never paint a deck with any kind of paint. Lawsuits, complaints and more. I was simply helping the homeowner who is a good friend and she was well aware of the reputation. It's been in place for over 2 years and still looks like new and I think that's because her porch is covered. On her stairs, which are not covered, there is some minor peeling. The rest looks great so go figure. Thanks for watching.

Keep in mind that there is all kinds of controversy surrounding this products. Endless complaints and even lawsuits. This was a friend's house and I just helped her out. And for the record, it was 2 years ago and it still looks perfect. Thanks for watching

For the love of God, don't use Deckover! It doesn't do anything well and it usually results in permanent damage to decks. Unless you plan on rebuilding your deck in the next few years, stay away. There have been lots of lawsuits over this. I don't know why it's still even being sold.

It depends on weather, and I'd recommend 24hrs between coats, but it's fairly dry after 1 hour. thanks for watching.

Used it twice and doesn't last.
Now, in the process of taking it all off. Moisture gets under,
and peals like a onion. NEVER AGAIN...
