Hi man, love the channel. I was thinking about this earlier and wanted to put it out there. There's so much content on youtube comparing guitars, going over them in detail, etc. I feel like there's kinda a void for comparing different banjos on youtube and doing deep dives into what gives them their tone, etc. Feel like that could be a really cool series of videos that could drive engagement. Love the channel and have learned a ton!
Wow brother you are awesome. I got a 76 mastertone rb250 just like that nice my dude. Great tutorial. Your the man. I was wondering if you can do "Goin' across the sea" lick. In the future or if you have I'll find it. Thanks for being true to the craft you sound fantastic. Thanks man. This just made my day so much better. Your yneq favorite banjer player by the way. Keep it up bud. U fkn got it. So perfect. Lonesome wind from reno n smileys country album is a good one too. Bro source plays through you naturally. Good stuff. Thanks again. -~Lion ✌️🦁🪕
At risk of being controversial…. I see you recommend T I T I T I T Wouldn't Fundamentalist Scruggs Disciples insist that the only Proper Decent Scruggsy way to play this is T T I I T I T ? Doubling the thumb on the third string makes the second note fall at the back end of the beat, giving it a little bit of Scruggsy swing. Although I could add that I've recently been to a workshop with Ron Block here in the UK, and he plays it with alternating thumb and index like you suggest, saying that will produce more of a Ron Blocky bounce, as opposed to an Earlesque swing.
Classic
