Before you can develop a value proposition, you first need to understand key stakeholder needs.
What is each person trying to achieve with the project from a corporate perspective? Which criteria do they use to select the best vendor and solution? What personal goals need to be considered?

In theory, Knowing your customer's needs, pain points, and desires is crucial.
In practice, Customers don't know what they want so it's a fool's errand to try and understand the customer.
Offer guarantees
It's much more important to understand what promises the company is capable of keeping.

cool, but how do you find customer needs? I imagine that in the example you gave the projectlead didn't start the projectbrief with "I want to improve my reputation".
Perhaps knowing your core value proposition first, then allows you to adjust this, once you know the customer's needs and the challenges they may have in meeting those goals too? Great content and enjoyed the material!
