Aerith is my favorite FF character playing Remake and Rebirth got me to fall in love with her way more, and her background story is my favorite from the other characters. And was so happy I got both dates with Aerith in my first playthrough of Rebirth
I really hope the third game ends with Cloud giving Aerith a yellow flower, at Loveless street and saying “lovers used to give this when they were reunited”. They deserve to be together (and we too…after all these years). Great edit! 🩷
Cloud will meet Aerith in a field with flowers, Aerith will be waiting for him next to a tree. This tree has appeared a few times since the Remake was announced, in addition to it reflecting in the white matter at the end of Rebirth.
i have a better idea. we see the intro with aerith being pushed and the flowers dropping on the ground. we hear zack voice saying how much for the flower while she is picking them up and when aerith goes to pick the reunion flower a man hand is already picking it up and she touches it with a shook expression. zack says ,i dont think she heard me, cissnei voice shushes him. we see its cloud holding the flower saying, i dont have much gill but i got an extra ticket for the play, a date oughta do it, smirking. aerith remembers that line and smiles back he places the flower on her head and they embrace going towards the play in a double date.

No Promises To Keep is a song from Aerith's perspective and it's pretty clearly about Cloud. So maybe the theme song for part 3 could be a duet between the 2 of them. Would tie everything together with a nice little bow.
Aerith is worth crawling across space and time to find. I would be lying if I said I didn't want to see them physically reunite and kiss in Episode 3. After almost 30 years, it would be vindication for everybody who could see how much they really do love each other and the regret not being able to save Aerith and just having a little more time with Cloud.

I think there's going to be some hella multiverse stuff in the next game where he saved aerith or at least I hope so. The whole sephiroth battle was basically a multiverse so it's possible that there are many timelines and maybe just maybe cloud managed to save her. They are literally my favourite final fantasy ship and I will be so sad if they don't reunite

Ofc for part 3 we are still going to see Cloud being still irritated by Sephiroth messing with his mind. Remember, Aerith told him that she is trying to find the real Cloud and we may get him in part 3. The reunion needs to happen with a great twist. Just like Sephiroth said that everything changes when bounds of fate is being altered. Prob having like an Endgame scenario, but i hope Cloud doesnt die after Aerith returns and beats Sephiroth once and for all

I have just finished FF7 Rebirth yesterday. Possibly the best game I have ever played. I love the cutscenes of Cloud and Aerith together. They’re ultimately my favourite throughout the whole game.❤️

Thank you for contextualizing this song! Even after beating the game, I didn't fully grasp the entire meaning of the song. I kept feeling like I resonated with "Hollow" better from part 1. Aside from just assuming that it’s about ZA because of their past relationship, what evidence do they have? Because I’ve not heard or seen anything to convince me it is. 1. The lyrics clearly detail where and how CA met. Cobblestone, our street, struggling against crowds. All these relate to their meeting, as ZA met in the church. 2. She looks slightly to the right at Cloud after saying “until I met you” regardless of where the other’s are stood. 3. The singer and composer have confirmed it’s a love song about CA. 4. “This time I’ll never let you go” from “Hollow” can even connect to “Take my hand and never let me go” from “No Promises to Keep.” 5. The play she sings during is even called Loveless, which also happens to be the name of the street CA met on. What more evidence does anyone need?

I’m guessing that rebirth was a fan service part, but everything will be defined in part 3. Cloud loves Aerith and so does Aerith. If they don’t have the ending they deserve I will be really heartbroken.

Besides, the song is clearly addressed at Cloud considering the look she gives him at the "until I met you" bit in Gold Saucer. And Zack and Aerith's relationship wasn't fleshed out in the first 2 remake games, so it's pretty obvious which 2 characters the creators want the audience to think about. Edit: the creators, confirmed "Hollow" is a song from Cloud's perspective and NPTK is Aerith's response to Cloud. Also, an, instrumental version can be heard during their date in the "dream/lifestream world". Btw, in the church scene where they separate, they said it'd be nice to meet in another of their "places" next time. And as you pointed out, when they first met, Aerith gave him a flower that lovers used to give when they were reunited (probably because she knew what was to come and what they would mean to each other, so meeting Cloud there was kind of a "reunion" for her). I'm imagining world "X" Aerith selling flowers at the same street where they met, and Cloud finding her there, and handing out to her one of those flowers this time. Please Nomura, make it happen.

According to them, Aerith is dead and the other worlds are just a conjunction of memories, dreams and desires that the souls of the deceased encounter on the lifestream, before blending with it. So to say, the worlds where Zack is are purgatories where the dead take care of their "Unfinished business" before moving on. So if Cloud and Aerith ever meet again, it could only happen here, or once he dies. Pretty depressing tbh, and it looks like all that changing fate stuff was for nothing in the end. Aside from just assuming that it’s about ZA because of their past relationship, what evidence do they have? Because I’ve not heard or seen anything to convince me it is.
1. The lyrics clearly detail where and how CA met. Cobblestone, our street, struggling against crowds. All these relate to their meeting, as ZA met in the church.
2. She looks slightly to the right at Cloud after saying “until I met you” regardless of where the other’s are stood.
3. The singer and composer have confirmed it’s a love song about CA.
4. “This time I’ll never let you go” from “Hollow” can even connect to “Take my hand and never let me go” from “No Promises to Keep.”
5. The play she sings during is even called Loveless, which also happens to be the name of the street CA met on.
What more evidence does anyone need?

This is clearly a Cloud&Aerith love song. Zack and Aerith never had a "street", Cloud is the one she met on the street. Besides, the song is clearly addressed at Cloud considering the look she gives him at the "until I met you" bit in Gold Saucer. And Zack and Aerith's relationship wasn't fleshed out in the first 2 remake games, so it's pretty obvious which 2 characters the creators want the audience to think about. Edit: the creators, confirmed "Hollow" is a song from Cloud's perspective and NPTK is Aerith's response to Cloud. Also, an, instrumental version can be heard during their date in the "dream/lifestream world".
Btw, in the church scene where they separate, they said it'd be nice to meet in another of their "places" next time. And as you pointed out, when they first met, Aerith gave him a flower that lovers used to give when they were reunited (probably because she knew what was to come and what they would mean to each other, so meeting Cloud there was kind of a "reunion" for her).
I'm imagining world "X" Aerith selling flowers at the same street where they met, and Cloud finding her there, and handing out to her one of those flowers this time. Please Nomura, make it happen.

@@francisco24slb1 yeah, that would be good...unfortunately I read a new theory and it covers pretty much everything. According to them, Aerith is dead and the other worlds are just a conjunction of memories, dreams and desires that the souls of the deceased encounter on the lifestream, before blending with it. So to say, the worlds where Zack is are purgatories where the dead take care of their "Unfinished business" before moving on. So if Cloud and Aerith ever meet again, it could only happen here, or once he dies. Pretty depressing tbh, and it looks like all that changing fate stuff was for nothing in the end. If you want to see the theory it's in r/FFVIIRemake, starts with "our explanation...". Very f*cked up.

None of that makes sense though. It was already explained in the game that other worlds are created when fate is severed. They make it clear as day that there are more than 1 timeline....

2 Wedding ending for Cloud and Aerith like in ff4 with cecil and rosa
Considering what happened in ff15 and ff16 we need a happy ending
