My friends are often on xbox. We use the xbox game bar party chat. I dont see it as an option for source. It is the only thing holding me back with this solution. If anyone has ideas send help!

It captures my game audio and mic fine but something like discord VC for my friends' voices it doesn't create a separate track for so the videos just dont have their audio at all.

I don't understand what the point of this is? If I add audio sources individually I still will have problems because I need to be recording my headset audio so my alerts make a sound, meaning that if I add my headphones as an audio source on my stream, everything else will be heard by my viewers, regardless if I added the source "Chrome" or not, they still gonna listen to that youtube video, and I need to have an audio source on stream, otherwise how are my viewers going to hear the alerts?
You need to do a transform and set the same resolutions for pictures,i normally add a small picture of the gameplay that im playing on the top left of my screen,but everytime i add a new one i need to rezize every single pixel to fit the same spot that is the other picture and sometimes is very bad to do it since it takes time to make.So,we need to do a picture reizize and the same numbers for other pictures to make it easy,i hope you understand what im trying to say.

Hey, question… do you HAVE to have a separate mic to your headset one to capture your voice in OBS? Why can’t you just use your headset mic? Or do you have to buy another mic and plug it into your computer to capture your voice?
He had another tutorial saying you'd have to get an external mic to capture your voice. It wasn't always this way, as years ago I just used my headset mic and the stream could hear me AND my party in game, on my stream. Now? It's nearly impossible to get all of it captured on the stream.

thanks for the video, I was looking for a way to separate audio sources that didn't try to take over everything like Sonar. You might want to do a video update as the version has changed and the screen for adding audio output is a decent amount different. Different enough that it took me a few attempts to see what I was doing wrong. Also if you do the update video maybe mention how the different channels work when recording or streaming. I know the concept but I have had mixed results using them.
Hello there!! Thank you for your channel. I've watched many of your videos to help me with this process of setting up a streaming channel on twitch. I'm trying to configure the elgato pedal to mute my headset mic that I have going to game chat. Currently, I have the SteelSeries NOVA pro with the mix amp, elgato capture card with the chat link cable coming from the back of the mix amp to the PC for OBS. There is a button on the side of the headset I can use to mute that mic, which goes to game chat, while I use the external mic for streaming chat. I want to be able to push the pedal button OR use the button on the Elite Series II controller I have. I'm not sure how to configure the cables to get that to work properly with the above setup. I think the button on the controller would be the best bet, but either that or the pedal would be better than having to take my hand off my controller and reach up to my headset using the small annoying button. lol I'm doing my best to figure this out lol but I'm kind lost on how to get this piece working. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again and have a great day!

Voicemeter is important for us because if we play pc we need to split the audio one for me and one for my uncle,otherwise he wouldn`t be able to hear anything at all,sure you can use el gato sound capture but if you don't have it you're so dead.I did skype split to do spanish comments gameplay and one without it only gameplay.Happy new year from Argentina just in case mate.

Can you explain a little more what you're after? You don't want to hear your game audio? Or you're trying to control all the individual aspects of the game audio?
@@MDRGAMER In that case just don't plug in or select a microphone. As long as you don't do that your voice and background noise in your room won't be recorded.

What about the other audio? Like the game audio, does that come through from the Xbox app? Make sure you’re also selecting the right Xbox app as there can sometimes be more than one option for the same exe.

Hey thanks for the video it worked flawlessly however I was wondering if there's a way that I can have those audio sliders control what I'm hearing as well. Like if i want to lower gameplay volume for my viewers so they can hear the music I'm playing, I want my gameplay audio to also be lowered as I slide it. Since the remote play audio is one singular source that won’t be possible. I would recommend using something like discord if you want the chat and game audio separated

Do you know of any way to separate Xbox party chat from game volume? I’m recording using an Elgato HD60s+ and my voice and my friends voices can be kinda drowned out by the game volume. Only solution I’ve found is to just turn down the game volume in the settings which isn’t really a fix because then I struggle to hear footsteps, gunshots, etc.
It's not possible, because it comes in as one audio source. On the Xbox, the most you can do is turn down game chat audio in your actual game settings.

if I were to use this plugin, and I set the audio capture to discord for instance and I have my mic as an source to capture my voice, will the audio capture for discord from this, just capture the audio from the other people in the voice chat, or my voice as well? Meaning will there then be double audio of my voice?
How about just a video on how to get just game audio onto obs I’ve seen hundreds of comments everywhere about this but no one on TH-cam can answer just one simple question.
Which console are you on? Unless you’re using chat link cable from controller for either console with your capture card, chat recording works different for each.

I added the plugin, but do not get any of those drop down options.
I got the sources selected but they don't output any audio still. I'm trying to get game audio and audio from opera gx.

Alert sound is sent through OBS source app, so select that to get that audio

Since this is on beta, you cant re configure it. You just need to remove it and add new one for the other audio capture

You have to go into your elgato settings within the elgato app it self and switch it over to analog.

To capture gameplay I noticed you used the remote play… do we have to use that or can I just get that sound from elgato?
You can use the regular elgato sound that feeds into OBS as it’s own separate source

if I were to use this plugin, and I set the audio capture to discord for instance and I have my mic as an source to capture my voice, will the audio capture for discord from this, just capture the audio from the other people in the voice chat, or my voice as well? Meaning will there then be double audio of my voice?
No double audio, as you’ll only be capturing the audio output from program not input

Which console are you on? Unless you’re using chat link cable from controller for either console with your capture card, chat recording works different for each.
