Just one example, of all the defendants for the Ysl trial that took plea deals wrote that they had their right to plead the 5th except her client. The other lawyers made deals with the state on what they had to say on the stand. Ms merchant was stern making sure the state asks very limited questions for her client ( zero small talk) and every question MUST be asked specifically how the agreement was written so not to try to confuse her client or get more information from him. Now she has written the judge and state a few times informing the judge of the full agreement and that she will not tolerate any BS from the state. Also that her clent will not be talking to the state before the trial. Again, no other client that took a plea, had their lawyer do any of this. She also went above and beyond for her client Michael Roman in the Trump Rico case.

Great to see people taking on corrupt offices. I don't care what the political leaning of any office is, as long as they are honest and are working for the people. Sadly, the Fulton County DAs office seems to be a particularly badly run organization. There must be a full and fair accounting and the correct penalties rendered, but from watching this it appears to me that Ashleigh Merchant is on the ball and the judge appears to be fair and impartial. Having ran several businesses with staff numbers in the hundreds I expect my managers to do their job, or they get moved on. As for me, I am accountable to not only the owners or shareholders of the business if it was not me and also as the person in charge am also accountable to those who work for me. Based on that I have walked away from a position when I have felt I have let down those involved - that is called personal responsibility.
11alive should really look into Fulton county 911 records as it seems in YSL trial on 10/21/24 the 911 operator testifying stated that records are deleted after four years but for some reason there are some missing or deleted from 2022 which shouldn’t have been. Something to do with the DA office possibly doing the deletions. Why would they need to delete 911 calls?

There must be a full and fair accounting and the correct penalties rendered, but from watching this it appears to me that Ashleigh Merchant is on the ball and the judge appears to be fair and impartial.
Having ran several businesses with staff numbers in the hundreds I expect my managers to do their job, or they get moved on. As for me, I am accountable to not only the owners or shareholders of the business if it was not me and also as the person in charge am also accountable to those who work for me. Based on that I have walked away from a position when I have felt I have let down those involved - that is called personal responsibility.

11alive should really look into Fulton county 911 records as it seems in YSL trial on 10/21/24 the 911 operator testifying stated that records are deleted after four years but for some reason there are some missing or deleted from 2022 which shouldn’t have been. Something to do with the DA office possibly doing the deletions. Why would they need to delete 911 calls?
