I started karate myself as a little boy. I also cried as a child once because I didn't get first place. But I never stopped training and kept getting better. Today I have the 3 Dan. I love this martial art and it has so much respect for it.

@@isaiahh3754What about those 2? They were one of the first martial arts to ever exist. Kung Fu has nothing wrong with it, but I can see your point with Modern Karate. Karate and Kung Fu has been recognised as martial arts much longer than Boxing, Krav Maga, ect.
@@sumiyaehsani5673 @biosmart0192 Okay, I do think that karate and kung fu are legitimate Arts. They also are probably very good overall for your reaction and exercise. The point I am arguing is that in modern day, there are better and more science-based martial arts that are implemented, namely MMA or Muay Thai. I am a bit of a purist admittedly. I mainly train boxing even though I wouldn't box in a street fight.
For your kid, yes karate is good to build discipline. But if you want to build self defense skills in a child - opt for MMA.

He was running Ty kyoku itch, it’s one of my katas in karate it is a basic kata for orange belts, my style is shuri ryu, my current belt is yellow belt with one stripe going towards blue belt my kata I’m on is wansu, and I’m very impressed with him, especially sense he’s running the kata with decent form. I know that if he sticks with it he will become very good. No doubt your probably thinking I tried making it about me talking about myself, well I was mainly introducing myself similar to the way we introduce ourselves to the judges at our tournaments but I’m not that far into karate either yellow belt is the third belt away from white belt I’m just starting to get into it. I have been in karate for 7 months now, I used to do karate when I was 6, but quit. I am now 13 and have a better understanding of what I’m doing which helps me progress faster.

Très important, ce jeune garçon a noué sa ceinture à la perfection, saviez-vous que plus 90 % des karatékas dans le monde ne savent pas comment nouer correctement leur ceinture !? J'ai appris à nouer correctemen ma ceinture seulement à 22 ans, une seule personne de 32 ans savait la nouer dans tout le club je n'étais que marron deuxième classe, il m'a appris à la nouer, malheureusement il a dû repartir dans son pays.. Je ne le remercierai jamais assez, sans le savoir il m'a rendu, cet immense service, Ici, ce jeune garçon, dans 20 ans comprendra ce que je veux dire, sans le savoir il a un "atout" dont il pourra s'en servir le cas échéant.. Bien à vous tous !

Im 13 and I never wanted to do karate. my old school I was bullied then I wanted to do boxing but I got told karate was better got mad. But it was the best decision ever bc now I just got my brown belt I'm not giving up. I'm loving it 😌...... So believe and follow your dreams. And you might just become successful doing it.
