- Cute kids? Well, they can kick you a**. These young kids are masters of Shaolin Kungfu, one of the oldest forms of Chinese martial arts. At around four years old, many are sent to the temple to start their training. We visited the place in central China’s Henan province to see what a day is like for them.

Yeah, any young gymnast athletes have that spirit too, but the gymnasts are way stronger than they are, especially the ring gymnast athletes.

Many of these kids are from underprivileged backgrounds.
I like how they can get kids to be skillful and discipline but not too strict too the point where they’re not kids anymore

@@Teknobie Why do boys in boarding schools call or write to their family? It’s apparent that there’s rule in implementation and you won’t see them 24/7 in the school. Maybe the highly disciplined atmosphere in Shaolin sounds like a nightmare to you who may be cultivated in the west, but we don’t think like that at all. I’d admit I dreamed about growing up in Shaolin and becoming a master of martial art and parents couldn’t agree with me especially they thought I was girl.
Absolutely incredible. My knowledge is limited but I may understand that Kung Fu is approximately 7000 years old. This presentation has my upmost respect.

I was sent to the similar school to study kungfu by my parents when I was a kid. Because of I get bully from my classmate in normal school. Actually the Kung Fu learning really help me.

It looks quite impressive, however i can't help but feel so bad for these kids who only visit their family once a year. And all these moves don't look safe, hope that their backs and body generally don't hurt much. These kids are precious, hope they feel loved and healthy

Yes the Best and what they do is Needed, LOL. We need People with Acrobatic Dance Skills more then ever, LOL. PS: They can not Fight, all Shalin Masters get Beaten up by Amateurs, constantly. So whats the Point?
Insane. Their skills are insane and they are so tough - but the disciplin and pain is also very real. I’m impressed and sad of/by them at the same time.

the reason that the shaolin temples mostly only accept young children is because they do not know how the world functions; they have no standards, so it'd be normal for them, and that they would not have any mental issues to begin with, and hopefully never do even if they leave the temple.
