Love vintage Navitimers with the beaded bezel. Also love the Breitling Emergancy just because of the feature with a personal locator beacon. You are also rigth to compare the contemporary Breitling line with TAG. It's way to blingy and aimed more towards posers.

All watch companies have gone broke. The only reason Rolex hasn’t is because they don’t pay taxes; on paper they are a charity, not a company. They would have cheap ETA movements if they weren’t tax free like Newman’s Own salad dressing. Enjoy your metal Lance Armstrong bracelets Rolex fans......

Breitling is a amazing watch. I do think it is easy to compare a Breitling with a Rolex. I think Breitling when it come to craftsmanship detail and comfort if better them Rolex. If you look at the bracelet of a super avenger or a Bentley the comfort and craftsmanship on the detail is way better then Rolex. Now where Rolex I think is way ahead is on the movement. Rolex have in house movement which is super. Older model Breitling don't have in house movement where they are now coming with the new models with in house movement... Overall Breitling is in par with the Rolex.
Cant agree more, a reinvented company, the vintage examples are the ones to own are the ones for me the later stuff is liken to something owned by Fossil

Some of their watch designs are indeed very much a product of this time and do not age well. However the 43mm Navitimer, the Superocean Heritage range, and the Transocean range of watches really are done very well. These are beautiful, timelessly designed pieces. Also the B01 movement in the Transocean and Navitimer is a very good, accurate, and sturdy one. So Breitling can really go either way, they have some "shitter-looking" watches, but they also offer some real top notch pieces. One thing in their favour is the build quality. All Breitlings are of very solid quality and are very robust. One can argue over looks, but this is one point where they really score. By the way, love your less noisy way of presenting this subject Archie. Much more interesting to watch your video this way.

Too many "rider" tabs for phisting. Sure, it might be a good pheel for the ladybois anoos, but phuck the watch is hard to clean.
I agree with ArchieLuxury on the SuperOcean II, but the watch in the top right corner of the video is a SuperOcean Steelfish, which is actually a pretty nice watch.
I don't like the SuperOcean Steelfish with the White dial, it looks best with the Blue Dial or Black dial, in My Opinion anyways as I don't think light colored dials work on Dive Watches.

I Personally Love Breitling, of course there are some models i dont like for example the Colt and Superocean...But I think the Pizzazz of my Factory Diamond Super avenger is stunning with its Flawless Black Dial with Batons on a Flat White Crocodile Strap or the Classic Look of the Superocean Heritage with its updated retro mesh band... I really like the Connotation of Breitling being for the wrong crowd, that's true to a degree I'm sure some of rowdy golf crowd would find these watches totally disagreeable. But i prefer to look at it more like this Breitling is like the New Money Crowd like in the old days . and Rolex is the old money, or maybe like a flashy fast BMW as opposed to Rolex being a classic Mercedes-Benz.
I think Breitling is just going to get more and more popular as the Young Money crowd builds up their Breitling collections touche

iimaniDAVID some of their watches do use an ETA but they are highly embellished by Breitling.

But now those bastids that own The Swatch Group own ETA and using it to withhold those movements to their competitors.
The Super Ocean Heritage uses a Tudor movement.

Why do you think Breitling is 40% discounted because hardly anyone wants them. they are ugly, cheap shiny and have no value except for some vintage models and they can be bought at the cheaper jewelers. I would not invest money in a watch that is 40% discounted at the cheaper jewelers. Rolex is in my opinion the best investment and they don't use borrowed Eta movements..

Breitling is on the same level as TAG Heuer.
I beg to differ. Their recent in house movement in the Chronomat 44 for instance, is a wonderful movement and a piece of art. The aesthetics of their watches might be discussed all day long, depending on who you ask. But I have only praise to their in house movement.

Breitling is crap. Its garish, oversized, hideous and has crap movements. Thats why independent dealers sell that shit for 50% off brand new. Even at 50% off I'll never buy one. I've not met anyone who had one that I liked.
