Great informative review. I assume the reason for the high price is a prestige thing more than anything else. If they charged like 3 bucks, it may look like it's just an average phone game port. Nintendo wants you to know that this is a true Nintendo experience, and not just a watered down port.
That's true, and I'm sure it did cost Nintendo a decent amount of money to actually make this game since it looks like it took a good amount of time to perfect.

To be honest, I prefer the 10$ price tag over having to constantly pay money just to be allowed to keep playing a game for more than the amount of time they deem appropriate, or having to pay money to be competitive, or having to pay money to be able to progress at a rate that actually means anything. I hate microtransactions, and I hope Super Mario Run gives developers an idea of what to do with mobile games other than just making money sinks that cause harm to individuals who don't know any better.
Some of the enemies are basically no longer a threat, like Goombas.

I was addicted when it came out, and have started playing the game again recently. I can say it is very addictive but just plain unfair at some points in levels when you are trying to collect the special coins if you're trying to 100% the game.
Especially 4-1 black coins. That was a fricking nightmare
@@AtomsTired I was so mad trying to get the second black coin in Boswers hideout. I spent like 30 minutes until I got it.
I agree with this review, I just bought the full game once I got it, the recent update gave us a new rally, one you can practice against your friends if you need support, also, what's also funny, I challenge the weakest friends if I have in the game, just so I can get more toads :P I'm not a fan of the final boss, though I like the characters you can get, like in New Super Mario 3D, Luigi Jumps higher than anyone, Peach floats, Toad runs faster than anyone (great advantage) Toadette, the referee in Toad Rally bit slower than toad, Yoshi flutters, I like the ability to customize your kingdom the fact that you can put houses and get coins/tax in case you're desperate. I'd give this review a 9/10, expressive, and enjoyable to agree.

That was a great review! I also love the fact that they took a lot of time to combine the infinite runner with the Mario styled gameplay and make actual levels that you can beat, and they did a great job at it! I'm eventually gonna spend the $10 and buy the whole game, because I think I'll enjoy it!
Love it on my S7 Edge. At full screen quality its slick and runs very well.
I don't like the price but ultimately you get a pretty solid Mario game, in my personal opinion.

Sonic 1,2, and CD also have mobile controls that offer full range for their simplicity. Nintendo could have done a full scale game rather than just tapping.

People don't understand this isn't some Kim kardashian emoji app. This is meant to be a smaller version of a full Mario game.
Full mario games sell upwards of $40 so the price isn't actually bad at all

Here’s a thing I noticed. A lot of the graphics are ripped directly from Super Mario Maker 1!
You can see it with the background items, mushrooms and stars.
Nintendo should add an infinite runner mode so you can practice or compete against your friends for a high score
In my opinion, if you're only buying to play world tour once, then no. However, if you want to collect all the coins (which is super fun actually) and engage in toad rally and kingdom builder then it's a whole hearted yes.
Great review. Player codes are important because if a person was to know your username (which happens very easily) then many people you don't know can bombard you with friend requests.
Did your know about Midair Stall? Jump and pull your finger the opposite direction of Mario running (Mario to the right - Pull left). A pretty neat thing.
I've only been able to get red toads in Toad Rally.
Red and blue toads are the only ones you can get in the demo, the others are locked and this is to prevent players to get characters like Luigi
I think it's definitely worth the ten dollars. You're getting a near-full Mario experience, which is usually priced a sixty dollars. I think it's a fine price, especially when you take into account all the effort and money has gone into this in the first placd.
Also, the coins have a better purpose because you need 1000 coins each to buy the character houses, along with toads.
I remember when I saw Super Mario run on the App Store while in the bathroom on summer vacation oh, I was so excited! I watched the trailers over and over and over until the game finally came out.

the "give away points when losing" has already been available in Mario Kart online-game even from the Wii version. You win, you get points. You lose, points are taken away from you :)

My only complaint I have is I just dont like the auto runner tbh I prefer to control my own character and its much funner than auto running

While I will admit the NSMBU style and music is getting old, I still love the athletic theme and the Underground remix. They're sooo good in my opinion.

Well, to this day, we have remix 10,where u get short parts of levels, and for finishing area or getting star coins, on area 30 we unlock daisy with double jump, and after 10 levels, we get chance of those buildings and decorations, but each 10 levels cost 1 ticket to toad rally and after we finish another one, we need to wait
I also wish there were more things to buy, the decorations just don't feel worth it.
Other than new levels, I would love to see more costumes, different characters, and maybe challenging mini games.
Please do this with Mario Kart Tour (like a review sort of thing)

"WHAT?!!!" Bowser roars. Then he stops, pauses... and suddenly breaks down into uncontrollable sobbing. Then the whole game turns into a therapy session where Bowser's minions try to console him as Bowser reflects on how a life without Mario removes all structure from his life.
The game comes with two endings. The bad ending has Bowler succumbing to his depression and living out the rest of his days as a lonely grocery store clerk. The good ending let's you see Bowser realize that his obsession with Mario was really just a passive-aggressive attitude that had slowly developed from Bowser having daddy issues. Bowser, now cleansed of his past, moves forward to realize his true calling: Acting
What a game that would be!

- I like the new remix of the music so much more! The "New" series has some boring music, and I wish they'll make new for the Mario game on the Switch.

Saktuscactus more people have androids than apple...but it is true that more TH-camrs have Apple. It was not smart for Nintendo to release on Apple only, no matter how much apple paid them. By the time they decide to release on Android, interest in the game will have gone down and they'll lose people who are willing to pay $10 for the whole game.

Great review. Couldn’t agree more. In my country the full game costs €10.99 which is around $12.50 or something like that. It’s expensive and I still play the free version. I’m a diehard Nintendo hooligan but I think $9.99/€10.99 is simply a high asking price for what you get. If it was $4.99/€5.49 I won’t hesitate and buy it immediately. But that’s said by only playing the free version. I do like the graphics and the ease of control but I ask myself if it has some replay value if I buy it.
