This dude knows his GLIs. Wow. Bought a 2014 GLI autobahn in pristine condition this year with only 27,800 miles on it. Fully loaded. Brand new it was about $31k. I got it for about $14k. Still feels like a new car.

huh? this seems impossible no matter where you are in the US! Not saying ur lying, but man, that's what people are pricing their 2014 GLI Autobahns for with 100k+ miles... not sure how you scored that one

    • @rexx9496

@@Jiiwt Yes, remember we had that insane used car spike in price after the pandemic started? Luckily I bought mine right before that started. Believe it or not it's been a couple years and the car is worth more now than it was when I bought it. Every now and then I'll search for same make and year with similar mileage it it's usually around 20k. I just lucked out in timing.

I bought a 2016 GLI SE manual used with 70k back in 2019, 4 years on 75 k miles later and this thing is still going strong. Had the clutch replace when I bought it and had a water pump replacement at 100k, other than that only scheduled maintenance and this thing is a dream to drive on some back roads on the weekends and also as a commuter car during the week

PCV valve and rear main seal ✓
Water pump replaced w. Aluminum one✓
    Clutch replacement was necessary ✓
    Intake manifold recall replacement✓
    Rear springs snapped, replaced ✓
Control arms swapped out with new ✓
That's it, so far 😅. Accurate review, your right about the lean codes, kept throwing that code, vagcomed it and it went away for good. I also changed my intake filter to a k&n filter, for some reason it made a difference in regards to the lean code.
