Thank you! Super helpful for a not so easy brush replacement. Star key kit was absolutely necessary on my UV330 Shark rocket, which works great other than having worn out brushes. My vacuum guy gave me a hard time so feeling good I did this on my own!
Thank you for this! I have 2 shark Rockets and both have busted rollers... mine is hair infused with plastic on my blue one and my orange one is just not moving at all. I have the tools to do what you have done. Kind of hoping I can take one part from one and fix the other ..... we will see lol
Dude, what are the little foam half moon shape deals that the roller slides on called? In this case they are on the blue lid located in little slots on both sides of the roller. Replacing my roller and need new half moons as they are burned out.
I'm not sure what you're reffering to. Is there a time stamp from when that part shows up. Everything I know about this machine is it the 2 videos I made about it so your guess might be as good as mine. I think I generally seached "Shark Rocket parts" on amazon to find this and went by pics that matched.

Oh my. What sucks is that these are the kinds of things that are typically cheaper to replace than repair if you can't do it yourself. That was the case with this one. My friend was just going to throw it out if I couldn't fix it on the cheap. I discuss the tools needed in the video. There are captions when I discuss them that tell you the model spec of the screwdriver you need. All I remember off the top of my head is that it uses security torx bits.
@@Jack_80 Well, the bits aren't particularly hard to get nor expensive these days. Assuming you're ordering the part off amazon already, might as well throw the bits or screwdrivers you need into the cart.

@@Whatbih2 Oh, the one on the non belt side, yeah that just popped right off. Probably cause that side of the roller was broken. I would likely use the same technique, yes.
I dont' know much about actually USING this vacuum as it was not mine. I was repairing it for someone else. You could loose spin if it got badly jammed and seized up much like this one.
The biggest problems with vacuum cleaners is people don't take care of them. You have to clean them out and dump the collectors and clean the filters. And it's a machine that you have to understand a little about it. Hell we all change the oil in our cars. Even cars have air filters. You can't just sit on your fist and lean back on your thumb.
Oh idk, I haven't got first hand experience with one, but the fast that I was able to find the part and replace it myself seems pretty good. I used to have a dyson, had the same issue. Hair getting stuck in the joint was going to wreak it, but I inspected it every so often and caught to problem before it got too bad.
Warning- buy a new head. This is the hardest job I have ever done and I have done a lot. This guy makes it easy but it ia not. I broke mine by tryinh to follow his instructions. Nothing can make that thing pop off. DO NOT DO IT!!!!
This is a terrible design. The brush should just be able to pop out and pop back in. Like every other vacuum I have ever owned. Guess I won’t be changing the brush after all.

Are you pushing the switch twice? The first is for hard woods so it doesn’t spin. Gotta click it twice.

Yeah, I almost ruined my old Dyson I had because I didn't realize you needed to inspect and clean the sweepers for the very reason seen in this video.

You do not have to remove the wheels.

Different size torx screws. Then having to pry it off after the screws are removed.
