I like the Owner centering pin screws in the nose of my flukes with a small #1 VMC wacky nose hooked like a banjo minnow look.

If I was a bass I’d get caught on a floating worm all year long. That’s the best looking bait in the water, damn near makes me hungry lol

My 2 favorite tactics in 1 video. Bombing a $200 swimbait is cool if you're making a fishing hype video. But in reality I'm so focused on not losing that bait it makes me a nervous wreck. I'll take a fluke or trick worm any day over swimbait fishing. Using a elaztic worm doesn't seem to work as well as the trick worm.

I’ve had days y’all would not believe on a yellow and a white trick worm! Mid April through end of may. Like randy said they gotta be in the right mood but when they are hang on!

Floating worm is killing it right now for me....first time actually fishing it now that I’m down south wow it’s addictive watching them gulp it

Fluke is my #1 confidence bait spring through fall. Glimmer blue is for sure my most successful color, then albino, Houdini and baby bass. Great video

Hey Randy great video(s) . Just a tip I'd like to pass along that helps with rigging any bait (such as a fluke type bait ) with a hook slot you won't need . If you put some swim bait glue in the hook slot and lightly pinch it together until dry it makes rigging on a jighead (or your flufke rigging) so much easier since you you end up with a solid belly don't have to be perfect hitting that thin layer of plastic along the top of the bait with the hook .

Which worms float ? They rarely are labeled "floating".

The fluke is also great when the bass start schooling on top and won’t hit top water lures.

Darn, wish I would have seen this yesterday morning. Went bank fishing on a clear lake(15ft vis) and the bass are definitely cruising the shallows. Even saw a few true giants hanging around stumps and laydowns. Going back to try these!

Randy, you mentioned a floating worm working best on a south wind. This weekend, I’ll be fishing Santee Cooper, water in the low 70s, visibility 1-3 ft, NE wind early turning into a SE wind afternoon. Full post spawn conditions. Is fishing top water or floating worm/fluke worth the time early or should I focus more deeper structure/cover and focus in fish tight to cover?

Where does the sluggo fit in this lesson? Is it a trick worm or a fluke? Or is it a separate bait with a third set of conditions on when and where to use it?

I’ve got a lot of submerged grass/curly pondweed already, just touching the surface of the water. How would you rig the fluke to come through that without the open hook? Thanks. Really enjoy the tips.
