I did!! I think it really completes the kitchen! My husband had been out of town when I filmed the video (and got home before video came out) and when he walked in he was completely wowed!! ❤️ Thankfully he loved it! 😂 I have a pretty good sense of these things after 20+ years…but you never know! 🤣 And yes!! We have had highs in the 80’s this week and lots of rain….and if it wasn’t so dang humid, I could almost walk outside and believe fall was really on its way!

Love the added ladder, think about putting the baskets above on top of the ladder. One women I follow has a sled she puts up for Christmas. The music you use at the reveal always reminds me of my wedding, that was used when I walked down the aisle, it's a popular wedding march.

Hello sweet friend! The quail under the cloche is really pretty. I love decorating with cloches, i really want to find one of the tall bell cloches! I just mentioned to someone earlier.. one of the things i love so much about decorating with antiques, old things, and thrifted things.. not only is everyone's decor different (unlike everyone running to HL for that same vase or whatever) but its how we re-imagine pieces, re-purpose them, think outside the box, and even DIY them to a different color or an entire different piece! Sure we may have some pieces that are the same, but some are more worn, have more patina, different shade in color, etc. And we give & take ideas & inspo. But there's not 10 accounts showing the same vase or pillow or picture! That's why i love watching Utube so much more than other social media platforms.. plus its more personal to me 🤷♀️ I think that shelf is perfect on her countertop, not everyone would have thought to do that! See..i love that DIY shelf you made! Its actually really pretty! Love how you styled it too. Even when you find the shelf your looking for, that piece can still be used! My copper tea kettle has the blue & white ceramic handle & knob. When we get into A house i want to decorate above my cabinets with copper kettles, old coffee grinders & old tins.. and greenery of course😊 I love the rack with all the copper pots over your stove. I've been looking for smaller copper pots to hang in the kitchen..i love copper pieces! It looks nice with the board & basket too. Wow your decor wheels we really turning this week.. the branch idea is so pretty and i love the ladder hanging! It turned out beautifully!❤ I've seen that done in homes & always thought it was so pretty! I love the look of hanging baskets in a double doorway.. if its high enough of course😄 I wonder if Michaels still has those florals?! I have this real moody piece of art of florals in a basket. I have a hanging planter i put under it, the planter & frame are both ornate & match well. The florals I have in the planter are the same colors as the one in the picture, but I'd love to have a couple that hang like that.. and those are the right color too! Along with A blue, a golden color & cream. I'll def ck next time i go by a Michaels! That made A beautiful basket! Another beautiful room, you make your home so warm & cozy! Your very talented too! Fantastic and inspiring work, well done! When you mentioned that the process was of “layering,” that really resonated with me and made it all seem more creative, fun and less overwhelming. The “cleaning & maintenance” part is another part of the equation for me. Maybe you can share your routine for keeping it all tidy and together in a future video? Sometimes I’d like to decorate but the thought of maintaining it tidy and clean takes the creativity out of it and makes the whole undertaking off-putting.
Thank you so much for this comment! I completely get it…and I’m so glad that the “layering” concept resonated with you. It can be SO overwhelming decorating for the holidays. Believe it or not, I feel that way sometimes and I LOVE to decorate! My solution, usually means picking one room (or even one part of a room…like our living room mantle) to start with. Doing a little at a time and easing into the decor feels a lot less overwhelming. Holiday decorating should be something that is enjoyed, not dreaded. You don’t have to go all out either! Sometimes a couple well thought out “moments” in a room can be just as impactful (if not more so) than a room full of stuff. As for the cleaning, I could definitely address that in an upcoming video! For me though, it really is kind of the same little at a time concept. I clean as I cook in the kitchen…so things stay pretty tidy in there. But the other parts of the house I tackle things as I see they need it. Thank you so so much for watching and taking the time to leave such a thoughtful comment. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!!

Thank you so much for watching!! So I made the “mantle” vent hood myself last year. I didn’t make a tutorial video, but I talked about it a bit at the time. Basically what I did was build a box…minus the backside and the bottom…if that makes sense. It’s not very heavy so I was able to attach it to the existing cabinetry with just a couple screws. I built it so that I could still run my hand inside to turn the vent on and off when I need to. I know this probably wasn’t super helpful…so if you have additional questions please just ask. ❤️ Thank you so much for taking the time to watch!

It was amazing!!! We always go at Christmas, but this was our first Halloween trip! We spent the day at DL and then went to the Oogie Boogie Bash! For years I had heard about the Headless Horseman in the parade…so I was ecstatic to see him in person!! So cool! My daughters said that the Halloween parade was better than the Christmas parade…and I think I have to agree. We had sooooo much fun!!! Next year I think we are going to do MNSSHP in Florida!!

The “cleaning & maintenance” part is another part of the equation for me. Maybe you can share your routine for keeping it all tidy and together in a future video? Sometimes I’d like to decorate but the thought of maintaining it tidy and clean takes the creativity out of it and makes the whole undertaking off-putting.
Thank you so much for this comment! I completely get it…and I’m so glad that the “layering” concept resonated with you. It can be SO overwhelming decorating for the holidays. Believe it or not, I feel that way sometimes and I LOVE to decorate! My solution, usually means picking one room (or even one part of a room…like our living room mantle) to start with. Doing a little at a time and easing into the decor feels a lot less overwhelming. Holiday decorating should be something that is enjoyed, not dreaded. You don’t have to go all out either! Sometimes a couple well thought out “moments” in a room can be just as impactful (if not more so) than a room full of stuff.
As for the cleaning, I could definitely address that in an upcoming video! For me though, it really is kind of the same little at a time concept. I clean as I cook in the kitchen…so things stay pretty tidy in there. But the other parts of the house I tackle things as I see they need it.

Thank you so much for watching!! So I made the “mantle” vent hood myself last year. I didn’t make a tutorial video, but I talked about it a bit at the time. Basically what I did was build a box…minus the backside and the bottom…if that makes sense. It’s not very heavy so I was able to attach it to the existing cabinetry with just a couple screws. I built it so that I could still run my hand inside to turn the vent on and off when I need to. I know this probably wasn’t super helpful…so if you have additional questions please just ask. ❤️ Thank you so much for taking the time to watch!

It was amazing!!! We always go at Christmas, but this was our first Halloween trip! We spent the day at DL and then went to the Oogie Boogie Bash! For years I had heard about the Headless Horseman in the parade…so I was ecstatic to see him in person!! So cool! My daughters said that the Halloween parade was better than the Christmas parade…and I think I have to agree. We had sooooo much fun!!! Next year I think we are going to do MNSSHP in Florida!!

If I can find some shallow baskets I could definitely put some on top! I couldn’t hang it too low…but wanted the look of the ladder. I will be on the lookout for more shallow ones, for sure. All of the ones I have now, have taller handles though. I really love the idea! Thank you so much!
