I know this was a long time ago but did you set the motor at TDC then adjust the intake valves, then run it a full revolution and do the exhaust valves?
was it blowing fuel out the intake on the carb I've read the valves being out of adjustment can cause that. mine is a bitch to start. 00 arctic cat 250 it'll start and idle all kinds of fucked up. I had the carb rebuilt. helped some but once it warms up it won't start period unless I remove the boot between the air box and carbs then it'll start but sprays furl mist out the intake.
Great Video.THANKYOU Informative..Looking forward to more videos on the Artic Cat..
I have a 1998 BearCat 454 Arctic Cat. I think I need to replace the ignition coil. Do I have to take the gas tank off and the side panels to do this?
whats the valve clearance in mm

Did it fix the problem?
Think im having the same issue, did this fix the problem?
Yes
‘Valve adjustment’ That ‘required’ maintainence is rather rare for an engine when you use the correct synthetic oil.
Was there ever a part 2 ?
Yes trying to find the video to upload it. I’ll post here when I do. Sorry
Awsome thanks man
so I guess you never found it... was the coil replacement and the valve adjustment enough to get it running right?

did you ever figure out what was causing that?
mine dies but starts again after 5mins.
would that be same issue?
I notice fan isn't coming on.
Check the fan fuse. The fuse box is the first thing to check, then the battery then the fan.
