Not sure what the amount of times you’ve seen them has to do with your opinion on a song, but I’ve been to 70-80 shows since 2004 and I love this song. 😅
@@dude4173 it was show it wasnt a post from some random 1 show attendee. Thought that would be obvious. But you don’t know how many shows you’ve been to. Most DMB fans know exactly how many shows they’ve been to without modesty or exaggeration. So. Plus it was a comment with MY opinion. Glad you like it. Sounds like crap to me. Plus that middle eastern sound to it with the madman eyes lyrics. Is he trying to say something about Muslims/middle easterners? I’ve heard complaints about that correlation. Plus on Sirius when asked about the song he made a statement about Americans false idea they had the right to bear arms then pulled that statement and put a different more refined statement about the 2nd amendment because of the pushback he got. So all way around I believe the song sounds like shit in and it has other issues as well. He has the right to his opinions and the right to play whatever the fuck he wants at his shows but to this fan he seems to be playing it at EVERY show with the exception of back to backs when he has 50 better songs he could he playing with a heavy rotation instead.

It’s pretty obvious what the lyrics are intended to convey, and it has nothing to do with the Middle East. You do realize they’re using the same notes as Last Stop and Minarets, right? Are you questioning middle eastern vibes and odd intents in those songs? Or just this one because it goes against your gun beliefs.

Nobody is coming for your guns. Turn off the right wing propagandist media and relax. You’re allowed to enjoy a song despite it questioning your own beliefs. I like Christmas Song, but I’m not religious.
Of course you’re entitled to your own opinion, I was just pointing out the fact that it’s odd to mention the number of shows you’ve seen as if that has any relevance to your opinion of the song. If someone is a ‘1 show random attendee’, is their opinion of the song less worthy because they haven’t been to 60 shows?
It sounds like you’ve got some sort of arrogance and/or superiority complex. You want Dave to change up his songs to what you like and think are better songs. Guess what? Dave doesn’t care and at this point, I’d bet money that he doesn’t want you at the show. He’s already made it clear he doesn’t like serial fans who attend many shows each tour.

I don’t own any firearms but do take offense when people knock the constitution and obviously the blow back was harsh enough the comments were retracted from the Sirius channel. They’re his views and I don’t have to agree with them to enjoy his music.
So with that same logic he wouldn’t want you there seeing how you’re a “serial” fan.
Like i said they’re his shows and he can play what the fuck he wants. His song list is so vast and I enjoy 90% and the other 10% won’t keep me away. I think the song sounds like crap and I’m sure I’ll hear it in noblesville next month. I’ll also say I’m not fond of their hard on for brick house outta jimi thing every time they play it now. Or the louie louie that’s been breaking out during warehouse but oh well.
