it's a brilliant keyboard , is what it is. Lightweight was my first choice with nice keybed. I've got a heavy Kronos 2 , 73 note with RH3 & also a D1 88 piano , but I wanted this for the organs & synths.I bought it to live gig with & I love it . The sounds are great & it does sound like a vintage Vox , maybe my hearing isn't as good as some critics. I've had for over a month now & no problems. It appears to have been discontinued , so I'm glad to have picked one up . I believe black are still available. I hope they do continue this . I can't see any difference with this an a Nord . apart from the price.
@@Beatboxerskills It's not discontinued. It's hard for dealers to keep in stock. COVID supply issues and consumer demand. I got mine last October after a 4 month wait. A new black version is just coming out.
Fantastic acoustic piano sounds for an organ orientated board, reminds me of my old Nord Electro 5HP (that I got rid of because of no bend wheel/lever and no synth sounds). Can you edit and save your own sounds. Are the pianos Kronos based?
I dont mean to be offtopic but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
Can I get physical drawbars for this somewhere? The digital ones are great and all but pulling out all the stops and changing them while playing is very difficult with this.
Please can you help me figure something out? The latest update allows for increase to save more sounds to 64 banks. I seem to be stuck on 16, how do I save 16 more sounds to another bank? And then recall them? Any advice appreciated
Hi there, thank you for your message. While this model is now discontinued, it was produced with semi-weighted keys. If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team.
The reluctance to talk about the Hammond sounds and B3 replication will never cease to amaze me with the demo vids on these. They REALLY wanna hang their hat on everything but it.. lmao marketing departments man...
common korg its great but not a vox continental lisen to the fans.... put that vox as something else with black keys.. make the original continental just more reliable same everything else
When using xlrs into a board with phantom power it freaks this keyboard out. Non of my other keyboards have an issue. Is this normal? Also If I plug it straight into the wall instead of the furman it works fine even with phantom power on.
"Here's the Vox Continental - re-imagined"... immediately demonstrates piano sounds for most of the first half of the video, spends almost no time on the organ sounds in passing, to move on to the layer/keys section. I doubt anyone looking for a stage piano is going to choose this. I bought mine for the organs. If I wanted piano sounds, I wouldn't buy this. If you're demonstrating something based on an iconic organ, how about demonstrating the organ sounds?
My thoughts entirely. I am looking for a good Vox Continental and Farfisa emulation that doesn't cost as much as the Nord Electro. I was hoping this was goign to be it, but I will have to find out from other videos. A single chord for both of these organs isn't a demo. The reverse keys of the original would have been nice as well.

@@charles8994 I don't use piano sounds, mostly use / play / own organs so I really couldn't tell you. That said, Roland, Korg, Yamaha and Nord all have workstations, arrangers, and stage keyboards...all have strengths and weaknesses. I'd look for the "best fit" in terms of features, sounds, etc., you need and want, from each brand, then go listen to them in videos or play them yourself if possible, and start eliminating your least favorite until you find one or two that are best fit for you. Also, don't forget software instruments and MIDI keyboards, some are very good and compare well to current hardware models. Also more modular and you can keep adding software and hardware over time, upgrading and replacing as needed. I have a software rig using primarily Arturia V Collection and 4 x 61-key Nektar MIDI keyboards, with a 2-1 touchscreen laptop, very versatile rig IMO. Cheers!
2000 dollars, and no actual drawbars? Since when does a "Vox Continental" have a standard color scheme on the keyboard? Not to mention 800 years late; this should have been reissued in its original form in 1977 and stayed steadily in production thru now and beyond. Embarrassing that Nord and Yamaha beat Vox to the.. Vox Organ... Over 10 years ago. But it's good they've stayed true to the original-- who doesn't love the lush grand piano sounds all over "Psychedelic Lollipop" by The Blues Magoos? Vox are backward-ass and riduculous, and they should fold at once. They've been dead for years.
1e what a stupid drawbars/faders its complete distroy the vintage look on this... Why not be Retro-modern and put motorized faders on it like dexibell: 2e i'm not impressed by its sound at all! it doesn't have any simulair analog behavior like the korg sv-1
thanks for this video , it is one of the best i have seen that showed the depth of the sounds and the versatility of the vox continental , great job
This thing sounds SO GOOD
The 73 is very nice. Modern, reliable, lots of sounds, easy to edit. I like the normal white keys and black sharps/flats.
I really wanted reverse key colours they look so much better imo
Great board. This will eliminate half the keyboard market for those who can’t play without an arpeggiator. This is a real musicians keyboard.
Great playing, dude!
Wow… great board!!

no reason to, it does not sound like a Vox organ

Is it edit on the fly store ?
Any ideas how to run an arpeggiator through this?
tastiera fantastica

Are there guitars so i can use this as a work station?
Piano action ?
Can i mix sound from keys/layer group with other sound from this group? Like flute with pad?
what is the song at 1:19 look like a song played in the movie Goodfella's
It's the start of the second part of Layla by Derek and the Dominos, it begins around 3 minutes into the song

for piano sounds what would you recommend that has a nice mix of electric, instumental (horn/brass) and classical pianos?
