One of the best demos of this impressive keyboard! I can tell you've put in some real time and come up with a nice composition to highlight the instrument, and have delivered a GREAT live performance. Very nice indeed sir. Couple of more questions: 1) It seems the patches continue to play when switching "scenes", correct? 2) Looks like you can layer sounds. Can you split the keyboard too, or would this need to be done with an external controller? I can't tell if that last scene change with the "hit" is a split or a velocity layer. ;) 3) With regards to the stand, do you find the reverse incline on the stand more helpful for performances?

It sounds better than I thought it would. I think it was a mistake to not continue with reverse keybed colors that identified Vox right from the beginning. A great performance. I think the chrome stand looks too complicated - should have been some what consistent with the original design with adjustable height for sitting or standing. When I compare the sounds to this new Vox "Continental" and say the Roland VR730, sounds like maybe the new Korg Continental may be a winner for sure. Just got to see what the street price ends up being.
It still comes with the pedal, but not the.stand. Vox unfortunately, it appears, gave up on the new Continental. They discontinued the 61-key model and 73-key in red! You can barely find this board anywhere except used and a few new ones on Reverb. This is ridiculous, sad, and pathetic, Vox/Korg. The debut and marketing of this instruments was mishandled. It appears to be an excellent organ -emulator of all types, but this was never really driven home to the potential buyer. A good onboard Farfisa is hard to find, and this has it. I've only seen one demo where they even discover, much less show, how the LED drawbar section transform into and emulates the Combo Compact's rocker tab selectors. And speaking of, the objections by those folks that had them of physical drawbars being replaced with these touch-sensitive ones, were never properly addressed by Vox to show the advantages of their new system. I like how you can quickly "paint" them, and in one curvy swoop across, if you wish. And the lights always let you know where they are sitting. Many, I'm sure, we're put off by the change to the appearance from old to new, myself included. I initially sighed in disappointment upon first release, and looked elsewhere. Not enough of the old look was kept, other than on the red model, and some chrome legs, but not the original "Z." Or the reverse keys. Yet, several years later, I find myself reassessing the reissue, looking at what it *is* and *has*, not what it isn't and doesn't have. And I see a well-built, reasonably-priced, good-looking, organ emulator (of all organ types), plus with very good pianos and other keyboards including EPs and synth leads. Plus layering, splits,and modeling through the drawbar section. And an organ/piano compromise keyboard build and action, which is suitable, when this is viewed as a stage piano with organ emphasis. But, I also learned that Vox (Korg, as they own the name and the keyboard), have lost interest and basically discontinued it. I believe Korg has put all their eggs into their SV-2. (Just a theory.) I think someone high up the chain made a business decision and decided to kill what I now see as a very desirable keyboard, albeit with room for improvement for a next version. That being said, I want one.
Beste Demo des VOX Contintental. Brass oder String ist nun wirklich nicht die Stärke des VOX, es ist BROT UND BUTTER für Keyboarder. Epianos sind gigantisch ... schade, dass der Dynamikregler nicht zum Einsatz kommt. Die dadurch extrem hohe Dynamik der Sounds ist ja auf dem WELTMAKRT beispiellos, durch den Regler.
at long last , some one other then me knows how to angle a keyboard which is set down low. brilliant. even the big name keyboard players like riick wakeman dont do this, if a keyboard is low down like this then it should be angled up towards you. thank you for useing your brain and being so clevor like me. cheers
@@officialWWM yes your absolutley correct, so ive engineerd my own stands to do just that useing shelf brackets held in place on an x frame with car jubilee clips ,which the front of the keyboard then sits on the part/prong of the bracket facing up giving an adjustable angle by how far back/forward on the stand the front shelf brackets are. different sizes of shelf brackets can be selected to get optinium angles, by how far forward and back the keyboard sits on the shelf bracket, and another shelf bracket at the back as an end stop. i seem to be unique in enginering this as i have found no other refrence to any one doing such elsewhere. and i have used this methord for many decades. i hope this all makes sense to you, and i am amazed that to my knowledge no one else has thought of this makeshift engineering solution to a very easy problem to solve. cheers

@@officialWWM hi, i think that would apply to an LCD screen which may be a bit dificult to see, but i have my keyboard tiered up in set of 3 and my lowest keyboard, angled up by my engineering solution, is my FA06 which has as LED screen which is very easerly readable as it emits its own strong light,. so shouldnt be any problem if useing keyboard with LED though you are correct, a LCD screen would be very hard to see. also of course with the larger A-fram desighn it is possable on them to angle the keyboards as i surgested. i used to have one years ago but got rid of it as it took up to much space. ! cheers.

Cool sounding modern keyboard but why call it a Continental? The organ sounds are NOTHING like an original Continental.
