I don't have any chips to choose from in the program and my ender 3 pro is recognized by my windows 10 computer as an input device. does anyone know how I can fix this? thanks in advance
@@snief86 rename your ProgISP folder without any Chinese Characters, don't use the Creality Bl touch firmware it does not work properly
I was told to contact my retailer for problems with your software and firmware, which is a waste of everyone's time as you don't provide the Marlin INO file with your BL Touch firmware so no one can repair it.
Why don't you repair the BL Touch firmware for most of your printers and include baby-stepping so you can set the z offset correctly, it took me 10 mins to configure my Ender 3 BL Touch firmware from a stock version of Marlin Bugfix 2.0.x.
by not doing this you are making customers think you don't care, within the community people are getting pretty sick of this attitude.

In case others didn't know either - it's possible the connectors are glued in place. So if you can't get the connector on the mainboard out, check the backside for hotglue. Try to carefully(!) pull it off with pliers, or maybe use some IPA if you have it at home, I've read that this works too.
(I had some at home, so I tried it - not sure if it was the IPA or my attempts to scrape the stuff away, but I got the connector out afterwards. I used a Q-Tip to carefully rub it on, trying not to spread it to anything else.)
Good tip. Alcohol is magic for releasing hot glue

I just got this from you in the mail. I installed it. my first z measurement was -002.1 then I go to control-motion-z offset and my value is 00.00 So my B=A would equal -002.1 and I dont even know if I can adjust the z offset setting to this. If I leave it at 0 and try to run it it goes through a level process it looks like then goes all the way to the right and up a little and the motor sticks. Help!

Should warn people that the connectors on the main board may be hot glued in place, it might potentially spare a customer from pulling the Z-axis end stop mating connector off of the main board or causing other damage.

I installed this on an Ender 3 Pro that I bought last week. There were 2 things not covered in the video that gave me a little trouble.
1- Windows 10 has trouble with the characters at the end of the progisp folder name. It may have handled it if I had the Chinese language pack installed but renaming the folder to "progisp+1.72" solved that problem.
2- The Z axis wire that's pulled at 3:13 in the video is not nearly that easy to pull out. There was a lot of glue holding it and all of the other cables in place on my printer. If someone were to try and just yank it out like the video shows they'll end up ripping the cable out of the connector.

which folder do you have to rename, I have this and the ProgISP software does not show any chips to select one to program, did you also have this issue? I have version 1.72

Just got a stock ender 3 pro and bltouch . Install from ths vid helps other than that look else where for instructions on leveling and set up .
It's a 6 minute long video and I've been trying to install a working firmware for 2 weeks. The firmware given gives you a blue screen for Ender 3 Pro. Saving you guys some time.

@@carbonneaud3 There's some random characters in the name of the files you got. It will either be chinese characters or random symbols. Rename the folder removing those characters and you should be okay.

@@hulk239239 No. I learned that it depends on the board you have in your 3D printer. Depending on the board, it's harder to find a working firmware for BL touch. I'll send you a link to a discord server that helped me.
I eventually just loaded a basic firmware from the site and manually levelled. It was too much headache. (I have a board that makes it hard to compile a firmware for BL touch).

Can you use this kit to upload a different firmware? Follow all the instructions but instead download and use progisp to install marlin firmware?

Are the LowValue and HighValue numbers in this video correct? In all other videos I see LowValue DC and HighValue D6, you seem to do it the other way around. What is the correct order?

when I went to connect this to the mother board I didn't see the 6 pin connector spot. I have an Ender 3 Pro so I am confused. I have seen online that mine might have the V2 board. How do I connect this for my board? Also, is there a Mac version of the flashing software?

I have the Ender 3 and I installed the Bigtreetech SKR Mini E3 Version 1.2 and have the Firmware Marlin Bugfix 2.0 x loaded. Before I install the BLTouch Version 1.3 is there anything else I need to do differently to make this work? I hear some say you just pluf the cables into the board and enable the leveler. Of course I'm not sure what they mean by enabling...is that thru the Ender display so It's just a click or is there some firmware editing to be done?
Does this affect my printers ability to read from the Micro SD card? I have read that there could be memory issues i.e. not enough to run both the ABL and SD Card functionality. I have the Ender 3 Pro and the Creality ABL kit.

i need to remove te C7 capacitor on the original creality mainboard V 1.1.3 ( ENDER 3 PRO original board ) to install an original BLTOUCH V 3.1 on my printer?

Thanks for this instruction, that was very helpful. One question though, I could not find any proper recommendation about the Cura G-Code: G29, the instruction that came with the BLTouch Guidebook says: Change "G28" to "G28 G29" ???? other guys post saying G29: Probe , G29:ABL any many other ... could you please clarify this?
Do not change G28. Add a line after G28 and in that line type "G29 ; ABL" (minus the quotations)
Maybe I'm explaining the obvious, but - anything after the ";" is considered a comment. G29 is the actual command and means "Bed leveling (automatic)". G28 is "Auto home"
READ THIS Finally worked for me. 3 things you should know! If you don't have chinese language installed on your computer you will need to delete all the gobbley gook characters you see on the install folder which is your computer trying to make sense of chinese characters. (@Creality you should delete these characters in your dropbox folder so we dont have to deal with this) Delete all the chinese characters from the folder containg progisp and also delete any pdf or file else you see with chinese characters.ALSO make sure the power button on the printer is set to ON but the cord is disconnected when you try to flash your printer. Also Don't even attempt this on a Mac. Another thing was if your fan cant fit back in you can flip the entire metal over so that the fan is outside of the box containg your DSP cards.

@@jaytee3287 That would be great if the software and firmware provided by Creality in the kit actually worked, and the Z- offset instruction on this video does not work and there is no way she got her printer working using the Creality firmware and those Z offsets
Be sure to tell them your printers only work for 2 months before you gotta swap out all the cheap plastic parts and springs

Is there another video for this for the enderpro 3? I am trying to install mine and my box was slightly different and I don't have that cord to plug into the bottom of the board. Mine gave instructions to reformat my sd card completely (which I don't know why I would need to reformat completely) -- and download one of the files from the download page. But I don't know which version since there are two options for ender 3v2

Do you need to flash the firmware on your printer if it's new and already has Firmware version 1.1.6.2? Or can you skip that step and go right to plugging in the BL Touch
What is the highest temperature that you can print with the latest BLTouch Ender 3 Pro firmware version 1.1.6?
Can you upload the Marlin source code for your precompiled BLTouch .hex files? What are the "official" BLTouch probe offsets when used with your kit?
Did you end up getting hold of the Creality files to view and adjust their firmware version as it is not with the download, or did you get another firmware version that can be personalised?

It broke my ender 3 pro. My marlin firmware whas fine only thing that I needed wasn’t in that firmware and that was the option to calibrate the e-steps. But now I get the well known blue screen that’s flashing a little bit and the bl touch not working anymore. Even tho the new software should support the bl touch

When will the firmware for the original Ender 3 with BLTouch support be released? I can only find the latest firmware update for the Ender 3, but none of the downloads have BLTouch in the name? Noticed the Ender 3 V2 has BLTouch downloads.
i ordered the bltouch from creality's site. reading through the commits here. i see some say that they lost sdcard support or some other functions, not sure if they have a older machine ,mine says 1.1.6(believe that's the board?) so i hope that isn't a common problem.
Can I follow these steps to revert back the firmware to Ender 3 pro original. The BL touch keep failing.

No matter what I try it fails I do everything it asks but when I go to print it seems to ignore what the sensor said and print low in the front but raise the back way too high, i even screwed the nobs as tight as they can go to make it as flat as possible and it still fails am I missing a step, is thing faulty,

I have been struggling for over a day now to figure out how to keep the extruder from banging into the right side of the printer when I run autohome or bedlevel. The Marlin hex file moves forward and tries to slam downwards and I have to turn off the printer. The other hex file tries to slam into the right side.
I have been waiting for the bl touch kit for 1 month !! And it says "ship from Czech Republic" but it was sent from China!

Are there any good forums for troubleshooting ender 3 bltouch installation? I've got it all installed, but now when I try to move the z axis, it goes straight to the top, and I have to shut it down. Doesn't matter which way I try to move it, or on which step increment, always goes straight to the top and gets hung up.

What about custom X and Y offsets, like for the Petsfang V2 mount?
Forget about Creality providing anything, they haven't even adjusted the X, Y offsets for the BL Touch in their firmware so you end up with just two-thirds of the bed probed for ABL and no Baby Stepping so you have to make a Z offset adjustment then print a bed calibration print to check if the offset is good and if not change again and print again rinse and repeat many many times
should have a video on how to install this onto a CR-10S Pro. My CR-10S Pro sensor is all over the place. One minute the first layer is perfect the next print (same Gcode) looks good until you pull the print off then you find that the 1st layer did not form right

So this will work (v3 bl) on the new 1.1.5 motherboards? I just got both (blk friday/Xmas) but everything I've been seeing, they may not work. I really wanted the thermal runway protection so why I went to the 1.1.5 plug/play board. I'm just confused & worried I'll screw something up trying to get this installed.
I'm using a v3.1 with vanilla marlin on the 1.1.4 main board and its working but I'm having problems getting the z offset correct. So yeah you should be ok
I've bought a Kit from Creality and TBH there is no instructions for Ender 3 with V 4.2.2 Boards - I haven't found a detail video or instructions yet that would cover some of the issues of how to update the firmware and more importantly how to configurated correctly...

Just installed this onto my stock ender 3 yesterday, good easy to follow instructions. But, now the cover for the motherboard will not go back on. The fan crashes with the New board that takes the BlTouch and LCD connectors. Any official solution

Hello, I just received my Creality BLTouch kit with programmer for the Ender 3 Pro I bought a month ago. I downloaded the files from the Creality web site and the Progisp 1.72 does not show any boards in the Select Chip when I connect it. I have a blue light on the ISP pinboard.

Access Violation at address 75492200 in module KERNALBASE.dll read of address 00DA5000 . In addition if I click on any of the tabs once the software is opened, I get another error. The only way I can close the window is through the Task Manager. No reply from Creality and apparently no one knows what the problem is on the Facebook site.
I figured it out. You need to edit the name of any files in the download that have foreign and/or Chinese characters. I know it seems odd but once I've changed the names of those files everything boots up without errors and the drop-down list of Chips is available.

I am confused about setting the offset. Do I lower the nozzle until it hits the bed and that is my offset? For example, .9 is the distance for the nozzle to hit the bed, so the equation is .9+ 2 (any number)= 2.9?

Tryibg to install this bl touch for like then fifteenth time. First thing I notice is you do the bed leveling, but that option is not on the screen for the ender 3x I have with the Marlin 1.1.6 hex firmware supplied...
