i'm about six months into my practice. your channel/classes/approach are inspiring, invigorating and SO useful. your explanations and gentle approach for the more challenging poses gave me the confidence to try them. i surprised myself with what i was actually able to do, yet comfortable right where i am, using your alternative poses when I needed to. thank you for creating a safe place to try and a supportive (and knowledgeable) place to tune in... and listen to my body and mind communicate. i feel GReaT right now.

I feel peaceful and connected after this practice. The challenge for me is flexibility, especially in the hips and the shoulders. But thanks to you I am making progress (I can now do a bind on my left side!) Strength and balance are improving too. Thank once again Kristina!

Really challenged. But great attention to alignment\breathing. Stretches\folds great counter to the strengthwork. New moves never done before. Had to modify-but kept the heart open. Thank you!
Thank you for this wonderful flow!! The poses target the deeper core muscles which are difficult to access otherwise. I cannot wait for the day when I can complete the entire flow without pausing every 5mins to catch my breath!! Also love the 90 min sessions!! Thank you

thanke you so much ! before the practice i felt so tierd and than during the practice energy starts rushing in . it was beautifull . some poses i wasnt able do to due to lack of flexibilty but your energy is so bliss and it helped me alot even without doing all the poses! namaste

Definitely! Thats how i built my strength, keep practicing, and just keep an eye on alignment. There is a video breaking down chaturanga with a cue to make it easier ! ( the crow pose tutorial)

Thanks a lot for this challenging and really well instructed class. I learned many new aspects to consider and am sure I will return. The most challanging was the long plank section and the back bend of the legs on the wrists. I now feel well relaxed and stronger at the same time. Thank you!
Nice long and challenging flow :-) My first time doing 90 mim yoga. Feels nice!! The more challenging part for me was the sitting part asanas playing with legs & hips ( I am a man)
Iñigo Kintana thank you, im glad you gave it a try. I know many are scared to try long flows. But they are long mostly due to longer settling and warm ups . I feel the best after long flows. They give me the most energy. And i like to have my whole body properly worked on. I personally prefer full body focus, because it feels weird when some areas are not stretched , the energy does not flow there. Give a try to other classes and please share with friends!

Well this practice is tough tough tough. Just when I feel I am strong and fit I come back to any of your classes and I once again become humbled lol. I sweat buckets but I felt fantastic after so clean and energized. I can only do compass on the right side but my leg is still not perfectly straight the binds I'm almost there and your child's poses always come at the perfect time. Your stretches r amazing thank you.
Gayatri Yoga {Kristina Matskevich} do you think you can post a tutorial on jumping through and jumping back in ashtanga for beginners? Also, I have begun to do half primary ashtanga practices here on youtube and wondered if you can post one up too? 70 or 90 minutes if possible in its purest form. Thanks.

Bend your elbows @90 degrees angle and keep them close to your body. You can start from putting your knees on the mat put the chin then the chest down on the mat. Then scoop your chest up into upper facing dog. Also make sure to release soles of your feet on the mat. Hope that helps 🙂

Chataranda and push ups are impossible to do, also the compass pose, but I changed the moves a bit and made them a bit easier for my level. Aside from that, I enjoyed the whole class. Thank you! PS: Since we're in lockdown, me and my friends will definitely enjoy your videos!!
It was hard for me but I love it incredibly I started it yesterday and I quitted after 30 min and today I did 16 min more than yesterday 🤦♀️I hope I can do it completely this week
First of all, this probably wasn't the right practice to start with. I loved yoga when I was in my teenage years. Over time, it fell away. I've tried on and off the past couple of years to find someone here that I could practice with, but nobody really 'clicked' for me. I almost thought it would be the same with this video too. I struggled to get into the practice. The first 20 minutes or so I was practically staring at the timer, willing it to wind down. Then, something magic happened. About a half hour in I finally found my stride, and really got into it. Couldn't believe when it was over, that last hour went so fast. Walking around this morning I can already tell a difference. My joints keep, I want to say "popping", but it was in a good way. Like my body has been tense for so long and it just feels more loose. I don't think there is a muscle on my body that doesn't feel heated and I worked quite a bit of a sweat. In short, thank you for being the instructor I needed.
I hope you see this comment, I am actually a young natural bodybuilder and i have taken interest in yoga. I do enjoy it and i actually do this routine a few times a week. I really do love your channel and your energy. But I want to know if doing this too much will result in muscle mass loss? and if yes how much Thank you, Namaste!
Lord Peyn hi, thank you for practicing with me! I dont think that practicing yoga will cause muscle mass loss. I believe it will only benefit you . It is always recommended to properly stretch when you workout, and i think practicing full body yoga regularly will help to relieve the tightness from regular workouts you do as a body builder. I personally believe yoga helps to have a strong lean body and can in no way cause you to lose muscle mass. You will lose it only when you stop doing your regular workouts, adding yoga is complementary for your body. I often feel body builders are so tight and kind of not agile, flexible, and their range of motion is kind of limited ( not all of them of course). So i would say it's really important to add stretching and yoga to your training to keep your body healthy. Because tightness in muscles can cause issue with joints and spine. Namaste!!!
Thank you for sharing this. During the practice realised how tight my hamstrings are as well as my high flexors; do you have suggestions on how I can stretch / loosen them,? OR is it something else I can work on that's causing my back to round? without compensating my lower back which Im starting to get pain in when doing these - because I end up rounding my back instead of it being straight. thanks :)
Try to find movement in pelvis first, direct seatbones back and pelvic bone towards the floor and then start moving in your back . You need to work everything from feet to the skull , its all connected.

hi, it's intense on the wrists, lots of planks. i suggest scrolling through at high speed to see what poses it has. the levels are very subjective. but i personally would try, i like to be challenged it's not a problem with me if i cant do everything, some people are not like that. so very hard to make recommendations as we are all different. 💜

I hope you see this comment, I am actually a young natural bodybuilder and i have taken interest in yoga. I do enjoy it and i actually do this routine a few times a week. I really do love your channel and your energy. But I want to know if doing this too much will result in muscle mass loss? and if yes how much

Lord Peyn hi, thank you for practicing with me! I dont think that practicing yoga will cause muscle mass loss. I believe it will only benefit you . It is always recommended to properly stretch when you workout, and i think practicing full body yoga regularly will help to relieve the tightness from regular workouts you do as a body builder. I personally believe yoga helps to have a strong lean body and can in no way cause you to lose muscle mass. You will lose it only when you stop doing your regular workouts, adding yoga is complementary for your body. I often feel body builders are so tight and kind of not agile, flexible, and their range of motion is kind of limited ( not all of them of course). So i would say it's really important to add stretching and yoga to your training to keep your body healthy. Because tightness in muscles can cause issue with joints and spine. Namaste!!!

It depends on you level, dont over do it, as it’s intense for wrists. Mix with other flows.
Thank you for sharing this. During the practice realised how tight my hamstrings are as well as my high flexors; do you have suggestions on how I can stretch / loosen them,? OR is it something else I can work on that's causing my back to round? without compensating my lower back which Im starting to get pain in when doing these - because I end up rounding my back instead of it being straight. thanks :)
Try to find movement in pelvis first, direct seatbones back and pelvic bone towards the floor and then start moving in your back . You need to work everything from feet to the skull , its all connected.

Hi your diet is the main thing and power yoga can be your only workouts but take rest days and mix in lighter flows for recovery days ❤️

hi, it's intense on the wrists, lots of planks. i suggest scrolling through at high speed to see what poses it has. the levels are very subjective. but i personally would try, i like to be challenged it's not a problem with me if i cant do everything, some people are not like that. so very hard to make recommendations as we are all different. 💜
