Mine comes Tuesday!!!
Was checking out the comments. Wow. People are mean. And uninformed. I did think they were overpriced and I always thought there were less expensive options that could also do the job. And I thought I would only ever own the Domino. But… what I found with the Domino was how accurate the tool was and how well the tool was made. I then got the track saw…. Again… accurate! Well made! And the dust collection!!! It blew my mind. Followed up with a sander…. Another sander… the MFT/3…. And now I just bought this router. I’ve never regretted any of the tools I’ve purchased. I doubt I will with the router either.
@@AngieWilliamsDesigns sounds like your getting an awesome collection of Festool! I have all the same items you listed, I got the Track saw first, after that I was hooked on the system, These tools are in a different level compared to Dewalt, Milwaukee, bosch etc.. they are really accurate like you said, and make building a lot more precise and fun. Enjoy your new Router, you will love it!!
But...the most expensive, like anything else of Festool! are their astronomical prices really justifiable?!..mhhh not sure.
How much would you want per hour to work for Festool building or engineering these?
Overpriced garbage! 😳🙄😂
Festool makes some great tools, and fall under the “Buy Once, Cry Once” philosophy!
I don't own one of these, and my old P/C and Bosch routers still going strong. Great review Brad. Those presets look nice! Track feature looks sweet. Well thought out. Nice router for sure.
Hope you and Mrs Brad are doing well. Best 👍✌😊
👍👍👍
I bought the OF 1400 a year ago. One of the things I noticed was that there is no adjustment to align the center of the base with the collet. I have a centering mandrel for my porter cable 890 to center it so no matter how the orientation of the router changes, the bit still cuts the same distance away from the guide bushing. Festool has NO adjustment for this and mine is off center by about 1/64". Otherwise it's a great router. I just wish Festool would pull their heads out of their asses and engineer an adjustment for this.
According to Festool if you use their specific guide bushing then they don’t require centering since its centered at the factory.
I have the OF 1400 and used a Porter cable style bushing in their bracket and I had to use a centering mandrel to correct the slight slop.
@@HeadBroski festool is wrong. It is not centered and can’t be adjusted.
Yes, if copying with rings is the main feature u need, you should do the test with turning. You have 3 years of warranty (here in germany) - so just return, if a 10th mm out of centre really destroys your project quality. They decided quick change of accessories to be more important. But i would also prefer to have an adjustment possibility here. The Bosch 1250 features that. But - it has not the clamping of the two bolts. That makes a big difference to me.
Copy ring wag at a joke, they are always loose.
Moves a very small amount and ruins your work.
Don't waste your money . Festool is overpriced ,overrated and underpowered. I have the OF 1010 , the parallel guide sucks. I find myself reaching for my Bosch Colt 10 times more than my Festool. The worst is the MFT table. Buy a Parf Jig make your own MFT.
