One thing kicked my curiosity after this video and the one for Australia. It's about Big Foot and their cousins. Do all continents have at least one of these creatures? You see where my mind is going?
@@kekosunny6202 Glad you said certain areas, I've never had problems there. Living in Ecorse my neighbor was robbed at gunpoint. Never Detroit. I think most places that have undergone deindustrialization have crime issues.

Hey everyone just to clarify, this video is focusing on monsters and creatures from Colonial America and into the modern age! Creatures and monsters from Native American legends such as Wendigo or Thunderbird will have their own videos in the future! Stay tuned!
Having grown up in Jersey there were many trips into the Pine Barrens looking for the Jersey Devil. Only thing we ever found were some extremely freaky people, a few witches, and stones. That and the chiggers which were far more terrifying.
Mothman has been sighted in other parts of the US and even in other countries as far away as Japan. The creature is given different names or no name at all but is described largely the same way and always appear before a tragedy
You know, the craziest thing about cryptids and legends are the fact that they’re based on real things. Unicorns were more than likely made up because ancient people found the bones of extinct rhinos and dragons the fossils of dinosaurs. The platypus was a cryptid and so were other very rare creatures.
In the end all will be revealed if you don't think these things are real then when that day comes you will be caught unawares, ALSO I SAW CHAMPY AKA THE LAKE CHAMPLAIN MONSTER ITS A DRAGON LIKE A CHINESE TATTOO
I'm really enjoying the narration of this kind of content, very expressive and thematically engaging. It's inspiring me to create more series illustrations based on this stuff, incredibly descriptive language and I can really imagine the creatures, now I'm off to draft a bunch of these characters!
What you tend to notice is how these monsters are related to certain aspects of human life such as the English kelpe which is a warning about going to near water in the fear of drowning and whilst the fear of death isn’t too bad such as telling kids not to cross the road or you’ll get run over, but the fear of a gruesome and grizzly death whilst being popularized and practiced by everyone around you has a much deeper impact as stated with the kelpe where transforms into a beautiful stallion near bodies of water, where it will entice you to go near it in order to pet it or ride on its back if you’re a weary traveler, where it will drag you under water and devour you alive. As in the case of the chimera it warns children the dangers of going outside late at night in fear that this monster would snatch you up and devour you, this can also be used in reference towards warning children to be wary of strangers especially after dark who might want to kidnap them and take them away.
There is so much documentation and thousands of years of history over skinwalkers that they are the only criptids I think could possibly exist at this point
I’m confused by the fact that the population of Detroit has collectively decided to base their yearly tradition on the Nain Rogue around the exact thing the legends warned of. Wouldn’t it be better to hold a celebration to appease the Rogue?
There's been Mammoth sightings in Russia and Alaska. Some have found only tracks. One group of campers saw a whole family of Mammoths drinking from the river.
Some say that sometimes, when the weather is foggy and all is quiet, Champ will emerge from the lake onto the shore and find a human. When he finds them, he'll explain basic concepts to them in a condescending manner. It's called Chamsplaining.

I am about halfway through so I don’t know if you talk about it, but the wolf man of LBL is a one. The story goes that a family went camping but never returned, some went to investigate and found the camper completely destroyed the father and son dead, the mother dragged out of the camper dead, but they never found the daughter until they went into the woods and found bits of her in a tree. You may want to correct the chapter divisions. You've got the sea monster section and Beast of Bray Road labelled as Nain Rouge, and you've got the Snallygaster and Goatman both labelled as Rougarou.
Once I was out in the woods drinking moonshine and smoking pot when I was accosted by a terrifying cryptid. It had a flat topped head with eyes like mirrors and had a five pointed star on it's chest. It chained my hands behind my back and took me on a trip in its spaceship to an unknown location where I passed out. When I woke up the next day I told the jailor what had happened and he said that stuff like that happens all the time in Appalachia.
