Hmm, depending on the opinion. One of the explanations for Loch Ness monster was that it is actually SEA serpent trapped in a lake - entering via shallow river Ness when it was young and small, and then growing too big to return to the sea the same way.
Youre very close to the truth, indeed acient animals were huge. But water animals were massive. Like megladon who we found, i think the serpent is a reference to an acient dinasaur species who ran out today. And lives on in mythes

I like how you used Capcoms Lagiacrus for the Cirincowen. Monster hunter may pull from Mythos alot but pretty sure laigacrus isnt from mythose. Thos it is classed as a Laviathin in game
Thats funny the story about the Devil whale when there actually was a predatory macroraptorial sperm whale called the livyatan melvillei named after the biblical beast leviathan and it was prob in competition with the megalodon and ate other whales and had the biggest teeth of any predator and a strong bite.
This Japanese monster Isanade seems to be not a shark at all, but a giant squid. What is though to be the monster's tail are actually squid's tentacles armed with hooks, as in real life.

Since Scylla was featured in the MonsterVerse, would also like to see Charybdis in there as well (my guess is that MonsterVerse Charybdis looks like a gigantic whale that can create whirlpools).
Also, trivia: According to Adam Wingard, the reason Godzilla killed Scylla in GxK was because she started to warm up the oceans, attack coastal cities, and eat people (despite having slowed down melting glaciers under Godzilla’s orders previously after the events of King of the Monsters).
