    Literally everything June Tabor does is gold.

    Perfection, just perfection. Achingly evocative film recalls every stop on the important Battlefield Tour we undertook a few years back - and, with this wonderful music overlaid, it reminds, soothes and heals.

    the 3 at their absolute best.... this is what you get when you believe in what you're singing about....

    Pray for peace, and believe in peace for their sake and our own.

    Here I sit on Butternut Hill,
    Who could blame me,
    cry my fill?
    And ev'ry tear would turn a mill;
    Johnny has gone for a soldier.
    Chorus:
    Shule, shule, shule agra,
    His pick and shovel are laid away
    Till he comes back,
    I'll rue the day
    Johnny has gone for a soldier.
    With fifes and drums, he marched away;
    His orders came, he could not stay.
    Till he comes back,
    I'll rue the day
    Johnny has gone for a soldier.
    I'd sell my ruck, I'd sell my reel,
    I'll even sell my spinning wheel,
    To buy my love a coat of steel;
    Johnny has gone for a soldier.

    Beautifully edited and presented. We will have much more of this during the next four years. Their album Flanders Fields is well recommended, especially 'Spring 1919'.

    The title should read as June Tabor and Coope Boyes & Simpson.
