Wheel to Spacer: 95ft lbs.
In this video we are taking a dive into the world of wheel spacers on my 2020 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss. I want to find out for myself if they are safe, do they rub, and how to properly install them on the truck. I drive my child around in this truck and I don't want to put her at risk. So we are trying out some 2in wheel spacers on the truck today.

I have ksp spacers on my tacoma for years now and it never give me any problems. I do off roading once or twice a months ND she still on there with no problems. I got the 1.25" on a 295/70/17 I'm a scs -35 offset. I trust and highly recommend them
Yea they seem very solid and not badly priced like others.
Nice video brotha
Listen, I’m glad to have you as a viewer but I’m a big Falcons fan and every time I see mattyice pop up it excites me that maybe Matt Ryan has checked out my channel. Lol
Looks bad ass
Great video with clear instructions. Question about your truck? Have you noticed your back window rattling when you close the back doors?
Thanks, no I haven’t noticed but I will check tomorrow.
Stance looks intimidating yet classy and professional at the same time. Any updates on the popping noise with the lift kit? I’m torn between the ready lift 4” and the rough country 3.5”
I honestly tried for a while driving with a GoPro in the fender at different angles and just can’t find where it’s coming from. I have kinda just gave up for now. The biggest thing I would recommend not going with is the tire size I went with. It looks great but it’s annoying dealing with the rubbing issues.
Nice thorough video. Truck looks amazing. I just got reg Silverado custom and going just do a 2" lift to give it that TB look. I love the factory rims and want to keep them . Are you still running the spacers?
Not at the moment, I took them off for an alignment and haven't had time to put them back on. I plan to put them back on eventually. I have just been so busy creating content weekly for viewers. I would check on realtruck, they have all the best lift kits you can choose from on their site. imp.i128439.net/3e3xjB
@@zachattackcustoms Thank you!!
Nice vid. I'm really stuck on bora brand...but my question is...any vibration issues with that brand?
I actually recorded a segment about bora spacers but I cut it out. Here’s my thing, if you are going to spend that much money for spacers, you might as well buy new wheels. Cause those spacers are $400-$500 for a set of 4. If you add that price to what you would get if you sold your factory wheels it comes very close to what you would pay for some new wheels with the offset you want. In my opinion, it’s always safer to run new wheels than spacers. Oh and no, I haven’t felt any vibration as of yet, but if I do I will certainly post a video on it.
Are you still running the 2in wheel spacers? And have you noticed driving over rough terrain if the tires have been rubbing or did you solution with taking the plastic bracket out fix the problem.
I actually took them off to get an alignment, and have been too lazy to put them back on. lol I love the look but I was thinking about different wheels, so trying to decide what I want before I put them back on. Taking the bracket off fixed the rubbing but it is very close. Thing I would recommend, is going with one tire size down cause it is a little too close for comfort.
Just bought some of these KSP spacers for my Sequoia and I'm currently waiting for them to come in the mail. I'm curious as to why you didn't torque them to the same specs as your wheels?
He already explained it. Watch the video again. The torque specs are different as it’ll break the spacer if it is too tight.
Did you remove the wheel well liner or the bracket that holds part of it when it was rubbing?
Yes
Just sub'd I have this same truck. Color and all. Does yours have the factory lift with a front level kit or did you do somethimg else ? That bull bar looks great to ) Oh and how have the spacers worked so far ?
Thanks for watching! I have the ReadyLift SST 2.0. The spacers were fine. I actually took them off to get an alignment, and was debating on putting them back on or not. I was thinking about taking some tax money and getting new wheels, but now I think I am going to put them back on soon. I have just been so busy creating content, I haven't been able to enjoy the mods I have. lol
How are they holding up?
Are they still holding up today?
I have a 2019 gmc sierra elevation Any advice what inch i will used for wheel spacer thank you
It should be the same not much difference between the Chevy and gmc.
Hey, any update with regards to the spacers? Considering using getting the 1inch spacers for a Hilux.
I have not tested the 1in. The factory studs might stick through to far.
@@zachattackcustoms That was my biggest concern. Will still take the risk and see how it goes. Any insight as it pertains to bolts becoming loose or spacer being stuck to the hub?
What if your going from 5 to 6 lug do I still use the lugs that came with it on the hub or I use the original studs
I honestly would not recommend adapters. I would highly recommend staying with the same lug pattern. I have warmed up to the idea of spacers as long as they are checked regularly.
@zachatakcstms ok thanks
Great video! What are your tire specs?
285/75/18
@@zachattackcustoms Thank you
I feel safer only running them in the back because my 2inch spindle pokes the tiers out like that in the front
Can you add a link to the torque wrench you use??
Yo acabo de comprar una craftsman bro, en lowes, ahorita estan en especial por el Black Friday.
If you don't mind , what's your wheel size and or lift? Thanks in advance.
285/75/18 Readylift SST 2.0
I have a 2023 stock TB...would 2 inch work without rubbing...TY
I honestly can’t say, cause I have a lift.
@@zachattackcustoms ok...TY
Are you used in 35 inch tires ?
Yes
What did you torque the spacers to ? Thanks
Torque specs by the manufacturer are in the description.
Can you see the blue through the wheel?
Only if you get right up on it.
What hight lift is on there want to make one higher
4in total
Is center bore 78.1mm on these? Looking at getting a set.
Yes that is correct. I have a direct link in the description to the fitment you need if you drive a Chevy Silverado.
@@zachattackcustoms I was about it till I read some more reviews on these and another set lol a lot of broke studs. Think I’ll just save up and get wider wheels later down the line. I got a little one so I don’t want the worry lol.
@Spauley_22 I completely understand, I feel more comfortable with spacers after running them but I do still believe it’s a safer bet to go with a wheel offset.
@@zachattackcustoms do you still have them on? Only other thing I thought..4wp offers a mishimoto borne for like $330 set of 4.
I took them off for an alignment and haven't put them back on due to time. I am working on finding a place to get the truck dyno tested to show if all the performance upgrade actually made a difference I am leaving them off until I get that done.
What size tires you runningm
285/75/18
Torque is 140 lbs...no wiggle room on that spec
is that for spacers or tires or both...TY
Is this truck lifted? If so what size?
@@Mike-re7sq 4in
K but Chevy trail boss torque spec is 140ft lbs not 95... Your under torqued
@@zachattackcustoms I don't know where that guy got that from hope he's not using that info on his vehicle.
cdn.shopifycdn.net/s/files/1/0129/2238/8544/files/2021-3.pdf?v=1629083074
He torqued the wheel spacers to 95 and the truck to 140 which is the correct torque.
@@zachattackcustoms Im an OTR mining tire tech and been commercial aswell I have 14 years in the game and nah idgaf what they say lol I run spacers that had same specs 130 for my truck and 90 for wheel to spacer and they were coming loose. I run them at 120 wheel to spacer now zero issues no breaking no worries don’t trust these joe blow wheel spacer companies who don’t understand the torque spec is required for the weight of the vehicle ect. If you want to go ahead but I’m not going to
You’re *** you’re under educated
What size socket was it to tighten the spacer
19mm
Why? I’m sure you can come up with more Contant. Then wheel spacers.
Feel free to check out my other 244 videos. Lol
I actually found this channel because I need wheel spacer content! 👍🏻
Got nothing better to do?
95pft for wheels and truck like that.. not safe.
Are they still holding up today?
I do not currently have them installed, but plan to out them back on very soon. I had no issues with them when I had them on the truck.
