I hate predatory games that try to get our money as primary objective. The apex I fall in love with was a fun game with fun gameplay that I want to spend money just because I enjoy the core gameplay. Now with billions of microtransactions and uninteresting ways of marketing I feel like I am playing a mobile game. I start the game, the first thing I see is billions of cosmetics. I hate new new battlepass. It is not fun to climb, too complex understand your progress and it feels like not rewarding. Hate the new heirlooms. I dont want a mid looking knife just because it says "special" on its pricetag. I want a special, personal trinket or a story piece from a legend's backstory. I dont give a fuck about your financal targets, I want my game back. When I enjoy it once again, I'll spend money on it, dont worry EA.
This is exactly what they need to understand. Its an investment to fix and update the game in new and exciting way that engage the players because they will build the player base back up and the players like yourself and i will want to spend money because they really do enjoy the game. I guarantee they will make way more money than they are right now if they just focus on player enjoyment and actually listen to the community.

Lore can bring you into a game, fun mechanics and gameplay will keep you playing, and monetization is how you can show the devs how much you enjoy it. Yeah I played while they had the kings canyon classic event but after that any match I get into I get beamed by 4k 20 bomb lvl 400+ and I'm only level 36

I’ve been playing apex since season five ( not that long as others, I know ) and Honestly, I won’t be giving apex two a a chance. Apex legends at first wasn’t greedy because EA wasn’t involved, which made it FUN. now that EA got involved, I have no doubts that apex legends two will just be expensive from the beginning. Apex was my comfort game during a time in my life I don’t want to get into, so I play it to have fun. I still have fun in my own silly way but I won’t be playing apex two if that comes out. Best of luck to them but, money is what they want. They couldn’t care less about the community. So not high hopes. Ironically if they made a good game, they would be making bank.

They should make a lot of changes: -Make two sets of servers, one for casuals and one just for sweats -Remove and deal w cheaters -Bring back arenas(a lot of players played just arenas and were grinding) -Upgrade from 20 tick servers -Balance meta weapons and rotate maps more -Penalty for leaving pubs and other modes -More ltms less event that take our money(or lower prices) -Give us better chance at getting shards and continue to make legend specific ones -And give us some in game tournaments
In game tournaments would be dope ngl, they could do it just like rocket league does theres and it would bring a lot of sweats out of pubs bc they would be playing in the tournaments giving the casuals a couple hours a day where they dont have to worry about sweats as much

THE FINALS has been my main game lately but Titanfall 2 is so rock solid I'm still coming back regularly 8 years later. Highly recommend the spedometer mod.
-the ranked map pool should be ALGS maps -need a solo queue ranked mode and less entry costs for solos/duos queuing into the normal ranked mode -add cash cup tournaments -bring back arenas -crack down on cheaters -stop letting unbalanced metas ruin the game for entire seasons/splits
the final fantasy collab was the final nail in the coffin of the game. They made the buster sword cost 3x a normal heirloom and they have been focused on trying to increase $. All the while matchmaking is the worst it has ever been, hackers/ cheaters have infested every aspect of the game.
Something a lot of people don't seem to be realizing: this isn't marketing or community managers making a promise to us, this is the CEO and the CFO on an investor call telling the investors that Apex isn't going to see the growth/profitability they've seen/projected/been chasing. They're beholden to investors in a way they aren't to us, they are significantly less likely to be lying to their investors than they are to us. All the different monetization AND cost cutting (slimming marketing budget for instance; where are all the trailers and sfto that we used to get?) hasn't worked. This is them managing investor expectations so they don't freak when EA invests more money in the game to improve the system and player base/experience instead of monetization efforts, and that profits won't start looking as "healthy" as they've been/projected until these efforts fix their retention issues and turn the trend of players leaving around (setting those investor expectations in order to give Respawn around 18 months to plan/implement).

It’s so sad that so many people are being left with the image of what Apex has become now. And not the days where random NPCs like myself could go on twitter at any point and get questions answered by Josh Medina, or HideOuts, or much much more. Most of these players weren’t even around during the “Great Departure” of employees and insiders. I dream of a day where we get back to the roots of what made apex, apex. Because bugs and cheaters aside, the POTENTIAL of this game staying not only relevant, but becoming one of the best FPS’s ever, is still VERY there, please don’t misunderstand. This game at its WORST, is still much much better and more entertaining then other options out.

As a day 1 player, the only reason I stopped playing the game so much is because they removed ranked dive trails. There was no incentive to grind ranked after they removed this

The mechanics and game are overall great! I stopped playing because match making was so bad. Cheaters everywhere and I was always placed with players ranked much higher than me and I never got to play with players at a similar skill level!
follow the cod route, keep the franchise self-contained and combine the existing br with a Titanfall-3-esque campaign, co-op modes and multiplayer with items and cosmetics that share across all of it

my thoughts on an Apex 2, If it were a thing, I feel like it should just be separate from a battle royale, that way Apex 1 would still get updates and any updates can reflect in Apex 2 In addition, Apex 2 would probably feature modes not scene in Apex 1, nothing battle royale related but still different. In other words, Apex 2 would be everything Non-Br that Apex 1 is, and the reason for this is that some legends/legend passives just don't work in Non-Br modes that Apex currently has.
EA can make a ton of $ if they... 1. Do something about the cheating (don't just say you did). 2. Better servers. 3. Actual SBMM. 4. Drop cosmetic prices by 1/2 or more, and make up for it by making more via volume of sales, rather than the current gouging strategy.
APEX is way too expensive imagine putting prices down more people will pay for the cosmetics, its a joke how much an event would cost a single working class person its insane the standard person would rather spend that money on shopping to feed their family not buy a cool skin ffs not one working class person will buy anything because of this. The matchmaking is a joke and needs sorting out massively sweats and cheats everywhere.
If they would properly price their cosmetics they would be more popular. I have a hard time justifying paying $20 for a single skin. That’s literally the 3rd of the cost of a brand new game. That’s insane. Not to mention that some items share the same “quality” as other and therefor they are priced the same. Such as a weapon/character skin costing as much as an emote/boarder.
There is two things I think apex would benefit from: a campaign mode and a double barrel shotgun (I have I pretty cool idea for it if ya wanna know ask 😊)
If apex makes it to the next gen console release they might be a bit more compelled to release “Apex 2”. As of right now it’s fine because we have a 2 gen spread but no way could this game stay viable across 3 generations.
Game needs massive server upgrades, anything more than 20 ticks, much better anticheat, more content (skins are not content), gameplay loop/meta shifts more frequently, more PERMANENT gamemodes, more community engagement, less skins being locked behind stupid bundles, more reasonably priced skins, and endgame grinding systems/mechanics to come back at this point. ONLY AFTER THAT can we talk about stupid cosmetics like legend heirlooms, team emotes, on-map weather events, massive prestige skin overhauls, ranked rewards, leaderboards, competitive gamemodes, and collection event overhauls amonst other stupid things.
The monetization is crazy right now. It’s sooo confusing, even more confusing since I haven’t played in a while and I come back to this…. It also doesn’t help we’re things are more expensive that a new game. I’d rather just buy a different game.
I actually kinda like the new battle pass cause it’s easier to finish. Idk if they go back to the way it was it just needs to be easier and quicker to finish so I don’t get bored

EA is definitely and genuinely going to drop the ball heavily with apex. same way blizzard did with overwatch, they’re probably going to spend too long trying to balance everything that the fans get tired and don’t want to wait for them to fix their game anymore. they should have BEEN trying to fix their game instead of making new skins and calling it a day, there’s different teams for that very reason. there are plenty of things for them to go gameplay wise, as the last thing they did right was the perk system. something else i think they should have BEEN done is create a boxing game mode with the boxing ring on olympus. have 3v3s but only 1 teammate at a time in the ring. the other 2 can wait on the apron thing above and take the zip line in when it’s their turn.
You can only make so many skins and avoid the actual problems until it starts to back fire.. there are many things ea can do to provide a better exp but they would rather just focus on stuff that ultimately does not improve the game

Im never playing apex again. They dont care about the community in the slightest, only about money. Wont play apex 2 or anything related. I have 1700 hours in the game, became the best out of my friends and hit diamond while my friends had master badges from s 17 which i didnt play. Cheaters, ranked being garbage, and hidden mmr are the biggest 3 reasons i will not be playing anymore. I miss apex, or what it used to be, but that ship has sailed and its time to move on. Simple changes apex needs to have:
1. fix the audio
2. fix ranked pointing system
3. fix the servers
Audio issues are a product of the source engine they’re using. It ain’t that easy to fix

They're beholden to investors in a way they aren't to us, they are significantly less likely to be lying to their investors than they are to us. All the different monetization AND cost cutting (slimming marketing budget for instance; where are all the trailers and sfto that we used to get?) hasn't worked. This is them managing investor expectations so they don't freak when EA invests more money in the game to improve the system and player base/experience instead of monetization efforts, and that profits won't start looking as "healthy" as they've been/projected until these efforts fix their retention issues and turn the trend of players leaving around (setting those investor expectations in order to give Respawn around 18 months to plan/implement).

Everyone asking for stuff that apex never returned into the game, high priced milestone events ( not collection events that cost around $350) hackers left and right in the game, a hacker that made a name for himself in a live tournament that made the player base question if it's safe to play the game anymore, sbmm not working properly matching you up against Preds in plat/diamond matches. Not to mention the years of not listening to anyone bc EA wanted money and nothing but money
Never seen one hacker and I pushed to peak masters last season, crossplay btw also the excessive shops are ridiculous that’s for sure
I just hope apex 2 is not filled with corrupted workers, for example right now there is EA devs thats sell safe cheats to players and if they would ever get banned they have ways to unban them. (But they take soo much money for it)

ofc not everyone in high ranks know about this but there is a few since most of us preds know eachother and we have love and hate against eachother so most of us try to find something against one and another that we know is like against the game rules and this guy I was talking about went over the line with what hes doing. hard to explain

I’m glad me and my buddy left Apex when we did. At this point maybe it’s best there was no Titanfall 3, would hate to see the story completely ruined.
It’s so sad that so many people are being left with the image of what Apex has become now. And not the days where random NPCs like myself could go on twitter at any point and get questions answered by Josh Medina, or HideOuts, or much much more. Most of these players weren’t even around during the “Great Departure” of employees and insiders. I dream of a day where we get back to the roots of what made apex, apex.
Because bugs and cheaters aside, the POTENTIAL of this game staying not only relevant, but becoming one of the best FPS’s ever, is still VERY there, please don’t misunderstand. This game at its WORST, is still much much better and more entertaining then other options out.

I use to love this game, I stopped around the final fantasy crossover collection event.

As a day 1 player, the only reason I stopped playing the game so much is because they removed ranked dive trails. There was no incentive to grind ranked after they removed this

The mechanics and game are overall great! I stopped playing because match making was so bad. Cheaters everywhere and I was always placed with players ranked much higher than me and I never got to play with players at a similar skill level!

follow the cod route, keep the franchise self-contained and combine the existing br with a Titanfall-3-esque campaign, co-op modes and multiplayer with items and cosmetics that share across all of it

I have been playing since day one and I always said “we need to stop purchasing the bullshit they shovel us and maybe they will make the changes we want and need.” Eventually I deleted apex. 200k kills and damn near 2k spent and 3 months ago I quit. It’s so crazy watching my favorite game just wither away due to greed
I don't think EA realises how hated they are in the gaming industry...so it's tough for people to trust anything they say. Actions will definitely speak louder than words

my thoughts on an Apex 2,
If it were a thing, I feel like it should just be separate from a battle royale, that way Apex 1 would still get updates and any updates can reflect in Apex 2
In addition, Apex 2 would probably feature modes not scene in Apex 1, nothing battle royale related but still different.
In other words, Apex 2 would be everything Non-Br that Apex 1 is, and the reason for this is that some legends/legend passives just don't work in Non-Br modes that Apex currently has.
EA can make a ton of $ if they...
1. Do something about the cheating (don't just say you did).
2. Better servers.
3. Actual SBMM.
4. Drop cosmetic prices by 1/2 or more, and make up for it by making more via volume of sales, rather than the current gouging strategy.
All I have ever spent on Apex is 9,99$ on the first Battle Pass, and that's way too little for a game that's given me so much joy.

APEX is way too expensive imagine putting prices down more people will pay for the cosmetics, its a joke how much an event would cost a single working class person its insane the standard person would rather spend that money on shopping to feed their family not buy a cool skin ffs not one working class person will buy anything because of this.
The matchmaking is a joke and needs sorting out massively sweats and cheats everywhere.
We buy the battle pass every season and Pros get every decision they want...we're tired of watching Worlds Edge in comp.
If they would properly price their cosmetics they would be more popular. I have a hard time justifying paying $20 for a single skin. That’s literally the 3rd of the cost of a brand new game. That’s insane. Not to mention that some items share the same “quality” as other and therefor they are priced the same. Such as a weapon/character skin costing as much as an emote/boarder.
There is two things I think apex would benefit from: a campaign mode and a double barrel shotgun (I have I pretty cool idea for it if ya wanna know ask 😊)

If apex makes it to the next gen console release they might be a bit more compelled to release “Apex 2”. As of right now it’s fine because we have a 2 gen spread but no way could this game stay viable across 3 generations.

Game needs massive server upgrades, anything more than 20 ticks, much better anticheat, more content (skins are not content), gameplay loop/meta shifts more frequently, more PERMANENT gamemodes, more community engagement, less skins being locked behind stupid bundles, more reasonably priced skins, and endgame grinding systems/mechanics to come back at this point. ONLY AFTER THAT can we talk about stupid cosmetics like legend heirlooms, team emotes, on-map weather events, massive prestige skin overhauls, ranked rewards, leaderboards, competitive gamemodes, and collection event overhauls amonst other stupid things.
Just peel off the devs to make Titanfall 3: APEX, make it cost $60 with a cod style battlepass system and like $20 dic expansions twice a year...
The monetization is crazy right now. It’s sooo confusing, even more confusing since I haven’t played in a while and I come back to this…. It also doesn’t help we’re things are more expensive that a new game. I’d rather just buy a different game.

EA is definitely and genuinely going to drop the ball heavily with apex. same way blizzard did with overwatch, they’re probably going to spend too long trying to balance everything that the fans get tired and don’t want to wait for them to fix their game anymore. they should have BEEN trying to fix their game instead of making new skins and calling it a day, there’s different teams for that very reason. there are plenty of things for them to go gameplay wise, as the last thing they did right was the perk system.
something else i think they should have BEEN done is create a boxing game mode with the boxing ring on olympus. have 3v3s but only 1 teammate at a time in the ring. the other 2 can wait on the apron thing above and take the zip line in when it’s their turn.
You can only make so many skins and avoid the actual problems until it starts to back fire.. there are many things ea can do to provide a better exp but they would rather just focus on stuff that ultimately does not improve the game

Im never playing apex again. They dont care about the community in the slightest, only about money. Wont play apex 2 or anything related. I have 1700 hours in the game, became the best out of my friends and hit diamond while my friends had master badges from s 17 which i didnt play. Cheaters, ranked being garbage, and hidden mmr are the biggest 3 reasons i will not be playing anymore. I miss apex, or what it used to be, but that ship has sailed and its time to move on. Goodbye apex.
