- How much does it cost to ship an order from Alibaba when you first get started? The answer is sometimes a little surprising.
Purchasing items from overseas suppliers is a fantastic way to maximise your purchasing power. Most of us know that when we purchase goods from another country, shipping costs are going to cost us extra, and some of you may also know that additional customs duties will cost you extra (typically ranging from 2%-6% depending on the item). But what you might not realise is that there are other hidden costs in there - like taxes. Yes, even for items coming into the SA, customs duties and taxes still apply. Don't want to be negative here, but recently was scammed by reputable seller on Etsy, which I thought was a safe site. My R2000 goods never arrived. Etsy only came up for their seller. (In the end did refund me some money in credit on their site but not much). So I'm soo scared now to import, although you make it sound so easy and exciting. I will take up the courage and try again. Thank you for sharing your personal figures. I admire you for really trying to help..
Scammers Are all over we just have to be extra cautious.
It's best to pay your own customs especially if it's for personal use. Agents do not always use the correct formula rather a flat general rate, you will need a clearing agent in SA.

They are not sold In South Africa only Mercedes Benz provide them with a car .
