- HOW TO FIND SUPPLIERS ON ALIBABA Shipping Fees EXPLAINED
Make sure to watch this video before you start importing products from Alibaba. I get messages everyday about the expensive shipping fees when importing products from Alibaba for your eBay store, i will try my best to make sure everything is explained in the most simplest way, so you have a better understanding of how to deal with high shipping fees when importing products from Alibaba. I will be breaking down my thoughts on the different shipping methods that suppliers use to export goods from China into your own country. There are two main ways that suppliers from Alibaba import goods into your own country, the first is via sea freight and the second method is via express air freight. Each method comes at different rates. In this video, I will explain the method I use to import products from China into the UK. From the start of my eBay career, i used to have issues when importing products from Alibaba. I have tried to be as detailed as I can in this video, so that you have a better understanding of how to deal with high shipping rates that suppliers from Alibaba may quote you when you are start importing products. Make sure to watch the whole video from start to finish, as I will also be explaining the best way to remain competitive when selling on eBay. It is becoming tougher to stand out from the crowd, as more and more people are selling on eBay. But I will explain how I brand my eBay stores in a way that allows me to charge higher prices for the items that I list on eBay, this is a great way to factor in the high shipping prices that suppliers on Alibaba will quote you into the price that you plan on selling item for an eBay. For example when ordering from alibaba platform how would you arrange vat and or import duty on your items to Uk? Say if when you purchased stock and it arrives here will it be border force who handles the fees or the delivery courier like fedex who will send you the charge?

For had loads of quotes for stock and all were nearly as high as the product itself ,some products i was looking at would actually leave no profit what so ever ,it puts me off bothering to do this ,I’ve been selling bits n bobs for years on there as well but only personal items ,looking into drop shipping is just way too risky,,but good videos none the less

Sam I looked at multiple dog coats for this example and their avarage shipping rates are like £15 per product, if your selling the coat for £14.99 how are you supposed to get profit? How do you deal with this issue?

Yeah I have people that help pack orders and reply to message.. it can be overwhelming.. but if you want it badly then you will make it happen, and overtime you can start hiring people

Good video mate I’ve been selling for about a month now and I’ve found a gold mine of a product around 250% profit so you think I should make a solid ground support and stick to one product and then expand or expand right now
Thank you! If you have found inventory at a really cheap price. You won’t necessarily need to compete on price, and i dont really advise to only sell one product per say, I advise to sell products under the same niche or at-least have some similarities to your ‘brand’ hope that helps

I shall be making a full video on import duties and taxes etc in the coming weeks... you can brand a regular ebay account by using custom listing templates and making sure your ebay user name relates to the niche.. hope that helps!

Not illegal at all, as long as the product you are importing isn’t branded

Lool maybe one day i will say it.. i do sell on amazon.. 50% of my sales is ebay / 40% is shopify and 10% amazon... i dont really focus on pushing my amazon store
Suppose i am selling mobile and laptop Accessories and i name my Store "UP TECH" but then i cant sell some other hot selling items. Supposing Pet Winter jackets is hot selling item in Winter but if i dedicate my store to Tech items then it wont be a good idea to sell pet products

Yeah thats my best advise for people starting on ebay that want to build a steady source of income.. I believe building a niche brand selling products in one category will help them build a real long term company
If you feel like you can have success selling a range of random products you can also do that.. but i have built niche brands on ebay and that is how I have had success
