I am a rock and metal fan too but Danny aka ATD is amazing one man show best experienced live... the sing alongs on his mostly sold out shows are spine tingling!!! Perfect Wife was the first song I heard from him and been hooked ever since.

Man I'm so glad you enjoyed my suggestion! you should definitely check out some more Amigo the Devil he has a lot of really great tracks. if you want something sort of in the same style you should check out The Bridge City Sinners - Witches Wrath. Also I'm glad you did your research and got the whole background about Jim Jones and jonestown.

I almost missed the Jonestown connection! Glad I caught it at the last minute there. Thanks for the additional suggestion! I'm adding it to my list.

I think this song really uses the Jonestown Massacre as a metaphor for the destructiveness of codependency. Hence, the minor references to alcohol, and more specifically the “punchline”. Codependents feed on their own suffering, and they “line up” for the next harmful act.
All things aside, though, I’m glad you enjoyed the song, and appreciated your attention to the detail of the lyrics. The beautiful thing about music when it isn’t very direct in it’s meaning is that we reflect on what we’re hearing, and the perception of our own experiences fills blanks for us.
