- Cool Breeze RV Park truly lives up to its name-it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind. We first met the owner, Mr. Sells, at his other campground, Salem Breeze in NC. After a great experience there, we decided to visit his Cool Breeze RV Park in Galax, Virginia. If you're looking for straightforward, no-frills camping, this is the place to be.
Never heard of Galax, Virginia? It's a charming town in Southwest Virginia with a population of fewer than 7,000. Known as the "World Capital of Old-Time Mountain Music," it attracts top-notch fiddlers, banjo players, cloggers, and bluegrass musicians. While we didn't get a chance to dive into the music scene, we still found Galax to be an interesting and unique destination.

Your selections of campgrounds and RV sites are immaculate. Scenic expanses, big-rig friendly, full hookups, and so many on the East coast, which tend to get less shine than the Midwest and West.

I've passed by the exits of I-77 and 81 for Galax a hundred times and always wondered about it. LOL now I know they have good camping in there. Thanks for the tour! Also good to know they have another park near Winston-Salem. That's not a destination I'd have, but good to know of a quality stop-over there just in case.
