We took it to a shop with a computer and it turns out that the stepper motor was broken in the headlight. I have not heard that it needs to be coded. We ended up coding adaptive headlights out. The costs outweighed the benefits at the end. We’ll explain everything in a up coming video.
Ok so my headlight, brow, and hazard light works it’s only the halo that’s out. It’s no bulb to replace it because my e93 is lci so which module or ballast do I need
hi, i have a bmw 323i e90. the lights turn on but remain pointing towards the floor. the two at the same time began to do so. It's pre-facelift. It doesn't have a screen but it doesn't show any errors on the board either. would this fix it? Thank you
I just had this problem fixed. There is a sensor that has a lever arm on the suspension that was jammed in one position (they said it was like a knee that was hyper extended). Once they un-jammed it the headlights began working normally.
Hello, I’m getting adaptive headlight malfunction on my e92 (passenger side). I swapped the driver side to my passenger side but I’m still getting the adaptive headlight malfunction. I’m also getting right low beam malfunction but I changed it. Also getting daytime running light malfunction. Do I have to just change it all? Water probably messed it up but no more water is getting inside.
Sounds to me like multiple electronic components were damaged. I would not know a solution for that besides replacing everything. I’m sorry that I can’t help anymore.
So I am currently waiting on a new adaptive healight controller exactly like the one you installed. The drivers side one on mine was shot. If i want to keep the adaptive headlights will it need coded? I know you were already asked this but what if my plan is to keep them? Thanks
In many cases, just plugging the new module in would get it working unless other things are wrong. Some on forums have said that you might need to have the adaptive feature reset but I could not find a single person or shop who knew what that is. I’d just replace it and if it doesn’t work give the dealer a call and see if it’s possible to reset and if so, see if they are reasonable but I’d just find a shop that could do it much cheaper.
@@slavmotorsports2797 okay I'm hoping I can do it all myself. Part should be here anyday. The nearest BMW dealer is currently closed and not many people in my neck of the woods know how to work on these cars so I guess I'll wait and see what happens. Thanks for the reply though!
No problem. It should work if the module is the problem. And I mean call any dealer just to find out if it’s even possible to reset the adaptive headlights. Often they can give good information.
@@Foreignsgarage444 I ended up getting 2 new aftermarket headlight assembly's, both sides. Control board on original drivers side assembly was shot. Hi there slav, I have a 2011 325d just like yours lci model. My right head light angel light turned off instantly and doesn’t work. Do you have any idea how i can fix this? Or does it even have a light bulb for the angel eyes of some small led?
i believe it has to be reset, because i put new headlights and still having the same issue. one of my xenon headlights goes off at times when driving. have to turn off the light switch on and off 4o sometimes make it light up.
i just bought a 2007 bmw 328i and it has HID headlights and i have a problem where my high beams do not work with u push the knob forward but when u hold the knob towards me they turn on. i have been trying to find out how to fix the problem and cant really find anything. all i can find is that people are saying replace the module but i'm not to sure if that well fix my problem.
I don’t think that this module will fix it since it controls the adaptive headlights. I’m not sure what the problem could be but it sounds like it could be the stick itself in the steering column.
So did it resolve your problem? And i wanna say Thank You. Cause i have seen and heard of the part and had no idea were it was. At least now I know where and how to swap it! Again! Did it fix the problem???
This would fix the problem on most cars because more often than not, it’s caused by a seal failing on the module and letting water in and shorting the module out. If you take the module out, you could see if it’s water damaged or not. In our car however it did not fix it because we have a broken motor inside the headlight that is throwing a code. We will be releasing a video on how to change that soon.
No. The problem ended up being coded out. Adaptive headlights were coded completely. We tried replacing the motor and everything but it wouldn’t go away so we decided while we got some other features coded, to code our adaptive headlights.
It did not in our case. We have a motor that is broken in the headlight. This will however solve the problem for most people. We will be releasing a video on how to replace the motor soon! See the response above for a full explanation.
Anyone know the most popular reason why the driver's side light (main light you have to switch on) would be flickering?.. and then ultimately turning off and then back on again every 10 20 secs?.. I should start with bulb, then ballast from what I hear...and the ballast is actually the module also but it could be a short as well, I have 2 06 330is and both have the adaptive headlights warning symbols on dash as well
Hmm. Ballast could be a reason because it lights the bulbs. If it is a short it could be very difficult to track down and you’d need a good local shop that you trust to do it.
@@slavmotorsports2797 thanks for the reply and yeah from my research I've even seen someone claimed that a short in their tail lights caused a similar issue with the headlights.
