Tip: do not rush to complete this mission, after the first time you actually start shooting enemy, going over the hill, you may have a chance to go arownd carefully and explore. Further to the valey in front of the direction you are looking on 18:20 you will find more enemy to fight and loot, and going to the area where the helicopter fell you will find more enemy and looting. just make shure to advance carefuly and to arm your self well, pick up a good backpack, rocket launcher, find good optics, a nice sniper rifle or lmg if you can....damn I used to spend a lot of time in this first single mission to pick the more goods I could, so when I do go back and advance the mission I had the best gear. It goes to the squad inventory in the missions ahead too, so take your time and explore.
In video games this is about as REAL as you can get!
The Map is incredibly big too.
I was told that you can make your own missions on different parts of the map?
If you want to make your own missions I would recommend learning how to use the Zeus

The land mines in the forest got me so many fucking times, I think they were FFV 028 anti-tank-mines seen as though if they were VS-50s which are anti personnel mines they wouldn't have made as big of a boom (Thought you would see the mines this episode F)

@@riddlerecsful You shouldn't have. Any issues you're having, there is a massive community to back you up and help. Actually, I can help as well... I have a fair bit of experience. let me know if you wanna give it a second go. ArmA 3 is a game that rewards you spectacularly for a little bit of patience, a bit of effort into learning it and some time getting familiar with it's special control schemes.

after doing all that the devs have done? and the way the models are made? Difficult, very much so. Should they have done it? Now, that is a hard hard yes.
I really wonder why none of the ARMA games, nor any other comparable competitor game I know of, ever was about mercenaries. It would be much cooler and more interesting to play as one of those volunteers or mercenaries you sometimes read or hear about in places like Ukraine, Libya, Syria, Irak and so on. The main reason being that you could make the game way more free and self determined for the player. You wouldn't just be a grunt following orders, using and wearing government issued gear. You could be some dude who basically only loosely follows general directives, having total freedom over what weapons and what gear you use.
I imagine a version of ARMA that gives you total freedom in that regard and perhaps even includes trips outside the war zone, where you can buy your gear and have a money management element in the game, where you have to get mercenary jobs and negotiate your pay and then later can use your money to buy new gear and weapons, or buy a nice house and car and perhaps have to launder your dirty blood money first, or something like that, hehe.
Would be much cooler than just being some soldier and getting ordered around the whole game.
Well... People make custom missions, campaigns, and gamemodes. So if you just look hard enough or even make your own it could be fun.
That's a great idea. The arma 3 campaigns are fun but the strength of ARMA is it's open world and shitton of vehicles... They've already done the hard work of creating this huge open world and yet the missions are cod-esque and linear as hell. Makes no sense.
@@juleshuxley1026 The missions are only supposed to be showcases and a tale about conflict of interests. The missions are not Call of Duty like, even though they are very easy compared to their official scenarios, etc.

This game looks amazing...recently jumped from consoles (still play on) to gaming pc hoping my gtx 970 runs this smoothly. Doing a pc build with a gtx 1070 that should make this look phenomenal!!

at least operation flashpoint games would threaten you with helicopters in the skies who could take you down like nothing, but in arma 3 for the most part the missions seem to be so perfect that you never have to worry about some things when the plot needs it. the game has jets, drones, missiles, but the enemy never use it. the game can be hard but the plot is easy
Base on realism but the gfx looks a cross between a ps2 and ps3
with all the vehicles and things this game had it really goes easy on the payer character.. in all likeliness he wouldnt survive long, its the future the enemy has everything as there disposal but they cant get rid of this remnant of soldiers? and every night these soldiers just hangaround en masse at their HQ, oh yeah the enemy wont find them.

i was told this is as close to the older tactical shooter like rainbow six and swat 3 as we can get but to me this looks to be as hand holding as call of duty, not that there's anything wrong with the older cods but cmooon

i love this game but the only problem with this game is f***** health, even on easiest mode 1 shot from unknown location and you are f**** dead .

Move so they can't hear you, take cover, detect enemies, STEALTH and enjoy :) This game is realistic and probably 1st game in the world for top gameplay

@abcdef the option being present doesn't make it a game that does not provide an authentic experience. The game specifically guides the player to utilize game mechanics that align with real life combat. You can't expect to live after getting hit with a bullet unless you are really wearing heavy platecarriers. One, or two, hits can and will kill you. Night isn't perpetual and opaque darkness - use shadows to cover your approach, use hard cover while in combat, try to make less noise by walking at combat pace and keeping grass under your feet instead of loose gravel or asphalt or cement, and do not shoot unless you are assured of the shot OR you need to suppress enemy.
It’s a realistic game. You aren’t supposed to take 50 shots, take cover for 2 seconds, and then be fine.
Realism is sometimes boring. This looks boring. Thanks for the vid, I was considering whether to buy it or not. Also those relentless cheesy american army accents on the intercom are quite annoying for someone who isn't from the us.
