  • Re-engineered from the ground up, greater than ever!
    The all-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek features a more ruggedly athletic exterior design, a redesigned passenger cabin, the latest version of Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD and the choice of two potent SUBARU BOXER® engines. But that’s not all: There’s the enhanced Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, a new Onyx trim level, a dual-function version of X-MODE®, new Steering Responsive LED headlights and a new available infotainment system. Of course, there’s also the traditional Crosstrek qualities to consider: the 220 mm/8.7 inches of ground clearance, long-travel suspension system, plenty of cargo space and the driving feel of a sporty hatchback. All this adds up to a more capable and more versatile version of this class-leading subcompact AWD SUV.

    Hi Tyson, since the climate control is all on the screen instead of knobs, do you think it would cause any issue when it gets to -30 and below in the winter? I live in Winnipeg so winter here gets really crazy, so I just wanna make sure it doesn't freeze or lag up when I try to turn on my heater.

      We get similar temperatures to Winnipeg here during our Winters. There will be some lag displaying the change that you're asking the system to do, but it's nothing extreme. I do have several video walk-through's that I've done in the winter in the extreme cold that you can watch and see how the climate controls are affected.

    Tyson my dealership down here in the US where I bought my impreza. They didn't have the 24 crosstrek base or premium models in yet and those are still in transit. They are getting there 24 outbacks in now and 24 imprezas are in transit. Mine is being built in the factory in japan and I was very very pleased with going into the subaru dealership, I understand why everyone is happy when people buy subarus. There so great. I really do love your comparisons on the Canadian subarus and my knowledge of the US subarus

      We seem to have received the 2024 Crosstreks fairly quickly in comparison to the rest of the country. We have lots of other 2024's in transit right now, too!
      I'm happy to report that the vast majority of my clientele have excellent ownership experiences with their Subarus!

    Hey Tyson, I'm wondering how many people had Outbacks then went back looking at the Crosstrek after a year or so.
    I'm coming off a lease of a 21 Onyx Outback and considering the baby Outbacks of the Impreza/Crosstrek form factor. I didn't realize the Impreza was so closely priced with the Crosstrek while being less off-road capable even if the vehicle is going to be an urban warrior.
    Is the 2.5 much better in economy than the 2.4? There's obvious concessions with capacity and maybe some creature comforts. Crosstreks aren't built the same level as an Outback but looking at the price, you wouldn't really know it. They are very close in terms of pricing strategy. A base Outback is well equipped and I feel will likely be a much more premium ride than a mid-tier, comparably priced Crosstrek.
    Any opinion?

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It all depends on your needs and wants. If you don't need the extra room and want the increase in economy, the Crosstrek is the perfect fit.
      I had a 2018 Crosstrek, and it was easily my favorite daily driver I've ever owned - I miss it 4+ years later.
      The Outback will ride smoother, but the Crosstrek is more fun to drive, imo.
      The choice comes down to you personal preferences/likes/wants/needs.
      Moving up or down in size in the Subaru family is not uncommon.

    Hi Tyson, are you allowed to bring up pricing. If you are, it would nice to know the difference, in price between all the Crosstrek models. Thank you.

      I dont typically talk pricing on TH-cam, but it's not "forbidden" by any means.
      MSRP's are as follows:
      Convenience: 28,995
      Touring: 32,195
      Onyx: 33,995
      Limited: 36,995
      All of that is available on Subaru.ca

    What is the unlabeled button to the right of the parking brake button in the gear shift area? Is that a front camera button?

      It's a blank switch area, no function to it.

      This is where Canadian's and American's got ripped off. The UK and Japanese market CrossTrek's have 360 degree cameras. That's what that switch and front grill cutout is for.

    Is this particular trim built in Japan or USA ?

    • @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist
      @TysonTheSubaruSpecialist  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All of the Canadian Crosstreks, with the exception of the Wilderness, are built in Japan. Essentially, if a Subaru has a VIN that starts with a "J", it's built in Japan, anything else means it's built in the Lafayette, Indiana plant.

      @@JaKrish You bet! They always have been, and I don't think that will ever change. The USA is the biggest Subaru market globally, so it makes sense for them to produce the majority of the vehicles there so that they can get them to market more quickly.
