If you're going to buy a 2015-2017, try and find an Outback with the 3.6R engine! They're amazing vehicles, but the 3.6R is so buttery smooth to drive! It's amazing!

It's really a tie in my eyes. It all comes down to what your needs and wants are in a vehicle. I loved my Crosstrek, but the room didn't suit my daily needs any longer, so I have an Outback. now.

I have no first hand experience with the Auto Stop Eliminators, but I haven't heard anything bad about them over the years.

You can definitely purchase one from me. I would recommend reaching out to your government department that is responsible for the importation of vehicles and confirm that you wouldn't have any issues bringing the vehicle back into the USA.

Also look into warranty. I'm pretty sure if you buy a Subaru in Canada and bring it back to the states, the Subaru dealerships in the states won't honor the factory warranty. Every time your car needs warranty work you'll have to come back to Canada.

@@Steven91992 Warranty is honored by Subaru Canada. You may need to pay the cost up front and then submit for reimbursement, but there is most definitely warranty coverage for a Canadian Subaru in the USA and vice-versa. We've helped out several USA residents with warranty work on their vehicles and I've had several Canadian clients use their warranty while traveling through the USA.

@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist That's good to hear I'm just going on with experience. I used to own a Volkswagen and Ram that were from the states and Ram Canada / Volkswagen Canada would not honor the factory warranty because both those vehicles were purchased in the states and brought over to Canada. I just thought it would be the same for Subaru .

@@Steven91992 That's totally fair to judge it based on your previous experience. I guess that Subaru Canada and SOA have a unilateral agreement that allows warranty work to be performed in the other country. There are hoops to jump through (more on the dealer end than the consumer), but it's doable.

They seem to be better than the previous generation in terms of fit and finish. Time will tell in the long run.

I can see both sides of the argument for interior lights being LED vs halogen. I personally prefer LED Interior lights. Same thing for driving - I like having LED headlights, but don't like others having them. Have you tried night driving glasses? I have several customers that use them and they tell me that it really cuts down on the effect of other drivers having LED headlights.

Hi Jason. Thanks for watching. I'm very sorry to hear that you've had to be using the emergency release for the last couple weeks. There are a few things that it could be, and without physically seeing it, I can't offer any hard and fast solutions for you, other than to get a technician to check it out. It's not an overly common thing that I've had people experience in the past, so I'm not overly well versed in this.

I try to get back to all of the comments, no matter how old the video! It will run indefinitely, until it runs out of gasoline. The new manual WRX has a 30 minute shut off timer if it's left running, but no other ICE vehicle in our lineup does that to my knowledge.

Are you talking about the light output, or the size of the reflectors?

Yes, that would be very cool, like the older Miatas. But, it might not be the smartest move for them, unless it was on a "stand alone" vehicle, like the BRZ. I doubt it would do well on one of their "key" vehicles.

@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialistI take a double-walled stainless steel mug to work every day. Cup holders are definitely an important check because I don’t want to spill coffee in my new car. Because it’s a mug, it has a handle, so it won’t fit in a normal circle cup holder. In my current 2012 forester, I can wedge the bottom of mug into my holder. So it doesn’t fit properly but wedging it holds steady and the handle isn’t an issue. I’m looking at the 24 WRX now. I know the middle divider can be taken out so I’m hoping the cup will fit and the handle can go where the divider would be. Much to consider😅

@@SalsaCaballero that is where the previous generation may have missed the mark. But the new ones have completely revamped seats that are ridiculously comfortable! For tall people, the Forester is verbally the choice that meets their needs the best in the Subaru lineup.

@WilliamK-e1j it's nowhere near as bad as people complain about it being. Give it a minute to load and process everything, and it's all good. I've never had any issues with the 11.6 screens, even at -42°C.

I’ve had my Crosstrek since July and that damn buzzer and on and off with the seatbelt was driving me insane. Before finding your video I was going to look on eBay for a Subaru seat belt buckle end, without the belt, so I could plug it into the receptacle and drive around my property in peace! SERENITY NOW!!!

@@CH67guy1 that sort of situation is EXACTLY why I made this video! I grew up rural, and it would have driven me nuts!

After a quick Google search, I can't find anything official stating the info about the audio system having a separate Subwoofer in the hatch - can you tell me where you found that info? Subaru Canada hasn't announced any changes for our 2025 Crosstreks. You can almost always get a better audio system by going aftermarket, but it is nice having the factory stuff already built in. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.
