Oh my god, the voice at the beginning before the ride starts to tell people to move away from the wall is my grandfather. He helped open the Mansion and worked there until '74 where he met my grandmother working the Jungle Cruise
I'm sorry this took a long time to get to, what an amazing fact! That is so cool that your own grandfather helped open this legendary attraction, and that his voice was captured in this recording! It's also nice that he met your Grandmother working the Jungle Cruise a little bit later. Thank you for telling us!
With the *chillingly horrifying* attic bride standing ominously with her beating heart and the accompanying *screeching* pop-up ghouls, the attic was undoubtedly the SCARIEST scene of the entire Haunted Mansion ride during that time!!#yikes😲😩😫👻🏛
Hard to imagine this was still considered a new attraction at the time of this recording. Here we are today at nearly 55 years and an all-time classic status.
Just went through the Haunted mansion today 5/19/2022 A few changes have been made during the pandemic shutdown. Some enhancements to Pet cemetery and landscape as well as some refurbishments inside. Still an awesome legendary attraction that My wife and I love. Thanks for this vintage video, great audio on it! 🦇 🎃 👻
Yeah, I also noticed they made a few changes during the pandemic, my favorite of them being the new April-December portrait between the primary Portrait Hallway and Loading. So well done and she looks wonderful as ever! Also, I later realized that portrait probably wasn't there in 1973, & added a few years later at some point in the late 70's or early 80's.

It's very hard to believe for me too. Absolutely amazing to hear one of the greatest Walt Disney attractions in its early years
Finally, being able to hear those pop up shrieking gouls again!
I wish they'd bring them back

And grim grinning ghosts sounds like it has a lower pitch to
That was probably due to the tapes starting to wear out over time
@@benjaminroberson1924 Nowadays there's digital audio loops that never wear out.
The foyer music sounds like it has a lower pitch
It's probably a slower tape speed

A toss up between the lightning and dead body in the Stretching Room, and *formerly* the old Attic with the Beating Heart Bride and Pop up ghosts.
