Interesting. The 1993 Cougar HO has a completely different plenum. The ones at the end with the curved throttle body mount are the closest, but they still are very different. The curved neck has very deep, finger sized grooves and on the other side of that rectangular top plate, it has three slightly smaller grooves. Also, the intake ports are in line, not staggered.

I have a cobra intake upper and lower but wanted to replace my lower, went with explorer lower. I did tap the act and the temp sensor but now I’m getting my spark plugs fouled. Parts numbers match with exception of the 4 other numbers to the right of the part number. The underside (inside) had a plate on the explorer way bigger then the cobra one where the pvc is. Reason I’m asking is cuz you mentioned not to mix them I did and now I’m getting white smoke. Plugs look oil fouled I’m thinking crankcase pressure.O and both intakes have both the egr holes in the middle
Hi can I use a 2000 Mercury mountaineer 5.0 intake on my foxbody? Seems to be made more like your cobra lower without provisions for air sensor or temp sensor.

Explorer intake not the same performane as cobra? Where did you get that info from! I think you just label it "junkyard upgrade" because you cannot sell it for massive profit as the ones you are selling. Check this video out before replying. th-cam.com/video/gKF5qG4R7Ts/w-d-xo.html
OK I just watched that video as you instructed… They also said these are an intake from the junkyard… And also show charts and graphs claiming different power and torque from each one… So now I’m using your video to answer the questions you just asked me… & to back up these claims too.
