Well multiculturalism won't work if we have ethnic groups staying with their own, rather than going out and learning other cultures and languages.
But that's needless to say multiculturalism never works. Some people love learning new languages and other cultures. Only "Some" Unfortunately.

Agreed and they become very open minded, become better people who contribute to all, along with their ethnic community and get the utmost respect, unlike most.

Multiculturalism also means in a ‘top down’ fashion: if you look at the western countries, all of them have all or almost all anglo or white leaders in the government & their industries... in other for true multiculturalism these leaderships MUST include sufficient numbers of other ethnic or ‘minority ‘ groups instead of just the ‘boring, predictable ‘ ‘whites or anglo’ folks in all industries & all levels in leadership & management... no use just having multiculturalism in retail shops or markets....

You need to learn the language and to integrate, I agree we need to get to know each other. But most ethnic groups want to stay with their own communities, multiculturalism does not work

    • @8270361507

Just the very basics of language, they don't need to be completely fluent. Even those who know English well still won't integrate. Ethnocentrism at its finest.

Margaret Campbell yeah it works....if Natives and Inuits can learn English and French so can immigrants who come to Canada.... Remember English and French are not the first languages Natives and Inuits learn first....

k.m.ashraful ashik well in my case it happened within 1.5 years. Came to settled in Quebec when I was 12. First French and then mastered English a few year later. I'm now perfectly trilingual.
Please don't put everyone in the same basket. The length of the pathway to integration varies from one individual to another. It could be a very short process for people who come here as kids.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.
There are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions, welfare, unemployment benefits, disability benefits and the numerous other programs, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.
Multiculturalism destroys the fabric and identity of a country. Socialism bankrupts a country.

Multiculturalism is not bad. It is either implemented properly or in a divisive way. In the west, it has not been implemented properly. The far Left uses it as a tool to segregate and keep favours. The far Right sees it as a tool against nationalism and their dominance.
Integration is needed and the people yearn for it, but their "representatives" will not say so and only focus on the bogus issues to increase the divide instead of bridging the cultures. I hope this lady never gets into politics or she will be brainwashed into their dogma/doctrine.
Treat people as people and a person as a person and be considerate.

Multiculturalism is another name for anglo colonialism. Canada is not a nation. It's only juridicaly a country. People in Canada are not citizens, they are consumers and producers only. Canada is owned by big corporations from USA and UK. France, Italy, Germany, USA were founded by the citizens after a revolution. Canada was founded to beneficial of Scottish and Britannics to permit them to make money and expand their capitalism to Wst of Canada. Federal govenment has killed the metis in Manitoba to replace them with anglophones. He also has put first nations members into reserves with the indians law and try to wipe out first nations. They also try to eradicate francophones from Canada by voting laws to forbid teaching french. Canada welcome immigrants from all over the world as long as they ssuit the needs of big corporations and produce and consume goods and services and keep quiet. Immigrants have all their ghettos and can live as they were living in their country of origin.
