You social media martial keep being on the effectiveness of Hapkido in the streets. I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and trained in Hapkido. Been in seven fights outside the dojo and win all of them.
2:14 Always break the wrist joint or a finger joint to impose extreme pain on the attacker STOPPING the threat. Oddly enough, you will NEVER be wearing a GI when you are attacked and defending yourself from an attack. This GI thing doesn't matter anymore.
Do you know why those "jiujitsu" moves are grappling the wrists each other? It was because stopping the enemy Unsheath the katana and stop the "iai jitsu" of enemy , and throw them down in to the ground. This kind of move is very much deep rooted for the selfdiffence of the "Japanese traditional occasion". If people forget this and respect for jiujitsu background then it has almost no meaning but just a movement without knowing true meaning of behind it.
"You are absolutely right! Jiu-jitsu movements, such as wrist grappling, have deep roots in Japanese self-defense. It is important to respect and understand this heritage to fully appreciate the martial art. Otherwise, these movements lose their meaning and become just gestures without context."

"You raise an interesting point about the belt system and the importance of the dojo environment for teaching martial arts. It's true that the reality of combat can be very different from what is taught in the classroom. Understanding techniques in a real-world context is crucial, and it's essential to recognize that the rules that apply in training are not the same as those in real conflict. Thanks for sharing that perspective!"
Block those punches, learn to attack as well then use these techniques if you don't want to knock your opponent or thinking about to have some fun. Otherwise don't use these techniques in a street fight. Or as you already mentioned Krav Maga above go for it without a doubt.
I think Krav Maga is overrated, one of the easiest ways to stop somone swinging punches is to grab their arms and trip them up or go quickly from a clinch to something that makes them hit the ground hard, Hapkido gives you skill in both trapping, throwing, grappling, kicking and if you mix in a bit of ordinary boxing then it is actually one of the most complete systems as regards useful techniques for various distances and attacks whereas Krav Maga seems to be all about defending against people with guns and knives and stuff. From what I've seen some Krav Maga techniques are actually ridiculous and put you in greater danger of hurting yourself if something goes wrong.
Hapkido was made by a korean kid and was bought by person who owned a candy company and his wife said shit and the candy man let him go to a Buddhist monk long story short he changed the name multiple times and camr out with the name Hapkido

It's not juijitsu
This is Hapkido🥰🥰😇👌🏻🤜🏻
Aikijujutsu is the real origin of hapkido, from Korean boy taken slave by Japanese in WW2, history of Moo Sool Kwan

l'adversaire peut se deplacer
alors il peut esquiver ou contrer
hello, is it sin moo hapkido
What if the attacker let go of your arm?
Then you punch him in the face 😄
If you keep him off balance, he will hold on for dear life trying to maintain it.
@@mikemcguire3676 Good point Mike.

Deciding between Hapkido and Krav Maga due to my profession. Realistically, how effective would this be if someone is swinging punches at you?

I'm Hapkido and it has served me well. Ethier one will get the job done.

Krav maga was made by a jewish man that read books about fighting
Hapkido was made by a korean kid and was bought by person who owned a candy company and his wife said shit and the candy man let him go to a Buddhist monk long story short he changed the name multiple times and camr out with the name Hapkido
Since when is someone going to let an opponent grab their' wrist?
Go and play box
Never
When they aren't paying attention. Then I don't see these working without escalating the situation.
Would like to see one of these hapkido masters grab mike tysons wrist while hes hitting them even at his age now, would be interesting.
Hey people FYI, I’m pretty sure this is used against other people who use hapkido
Mush techniques
