    2:14 Always break the wrist joint or a finger joint to impose extreme pain on the attacker STOPPING the threat. Oddly enough, you will NEVER be wearing a GI when you are attacked and defending yourself from an attack. This GI thing doesn't matter anymore.

    cool vid. although judo guy wasn't exclusively using judo techniques: i saw some aikido in there as well (see wrist lock throws). also this seems scripted, like your typical hapkido demo, except more convincing because of the grip fighting inbetween succesful attacks. for example, that high kick didn't actually land, and when a throw or trip did land the opponent didn't seem to offer any resistance at all. while demonstrations are cool, maybe next time call it a demo in the title so you don't mislead people. for what it's worth, you two would make decent fight choreographers or shoot wrestlers. judo is still one of the best combat sports and martial arts out there overall. and if you train at a good dojang, hkd still has a lot of value, and because it's so broad is a good starting point to find out what aspects of martial arts you enjoy most or have the most talent for, so you can later branch out and train in more streamlined/focused martial arts to further your study in whatever aspect(s) of it that the heart desires, i know from experience (trained in hkd for a couple years and have since moved onto kyoku, planning to crosstrain in judo once i have a solid foundation in the former). there are much worse martial arts to practice, and most importantly you seem to be having fun, so keep it up. *bows with fist in palm*

    I get that it is Korean, therefore there has to be all those flippy, twisty high flashy kicks involved. But this style, from this video, seems to be more for movies or tv than a martial art for self-defense. When, in an actual / real life encounter will anyone run and jump up a wall and come down with a kick? when will all those flying, flippy gymnastic moves come in handy in a real situation. This style has to be designed for either show off competition or for tv and or movies. I'm not saying there is a place for that, just trying to rationalize the purpose for this style from this video, and tv seems to be where I'm landing on this one.

    It's amazing how these two go at it in martial arts judo and hapkido a truly incredible indeed very nice and very good indeed like I said before very nice very incredible the only way to take down your if you got to opponent bring them down with all your power all your force on your strength that's how you bring them down I just wish I could have been doing that it could have helped throwing aikido as well comparing disa perform wolves be very powerful judo hapkido and aikido a very great martial arts forms indeed when you combined it with karate it could become a very powerful powerful force that could be the key to saving your life when used correctly all that matters is how was performed and how you move your body and how you fold them down and bring him down 🥋💪😉👍🥋

      hakido is choson hapkiyusul or "corean aiki ju jutsu", the hanji and the hanja for aikido and aikido are the same... this means that the founders had the same idea in mind... pass from a jutsu way to a "do" way... so... aikido and hapkido are the same martial art but differents points of view.

    • @filipegolineli9909
      @filipegolineli9909 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      kinda no, judo + some boxing would be nice, cuz judo is about neutralizing the threat fast and there is a bunch of technics for imobilizing without harm the person. BJJ could be useful, but it lacks the throwing technics. almost any grappling martial arts are good for this, hapkido is in a weird category like aikido, is not "boxing" but is not grappling. It can be useful? YES, but you will need a boxing like martial art and a grappling one (BJJ in this case) for do the job

    • @filipegolineli9909
      @filipegolineli9909 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ilovepudding7873 i saw a video of aikido vs judo, aikido make hard to apply judo throws, cuz they apply their tecnics before the full grapple. So i think aikido is quite usefull, but you will need something to boxe with (the weak point of aikido) and something for floor like BJJ. Martial judo also have some tecnics like the aikido ones, but most of the sensei do not teach them, maybe they dont even know about it, cuz is high level stuff forbidden in competitions.
