Thanks, man! I went right to my Open World, built the parts, planted this on the island I’m trying to build a castle atop a huge rock… This is my survival tent! Lol. About 2/3 done with the castle but I’m doing great!
yeah mounts help this design a lot since they don't calculate player carried weight YET so you can move a base like this pretty easy these days with a moa
its more showcasing the design then materials - that said if you have a neves pickaxe and encumbrance reductions or a moa mount its still easy even with stone as -75% weight encumberance is kind of insane
floors don't hold as much snow as ramps as such it can cause the roof to collapse and this is my I've got no idea where this mission is taking me build kit - so the 1 slot means I can run up deploy clear the exotics or mission then exit the area without a shovel or reinforcing the structure with local materials - I could wait till concrete for a cube cause that 100% works but this is more of a lower tier quick run place anywhere base - that said thats the fun thing about icarus depending on builds and style lots of different builds work
yeah aluminum is solid also if your looking for durable and light the interior wood is good cause light weight just needs a bit of wood and copper and doesn't have the weakness to melee normal wood does and is really fast to make since you can do it with standard furnaces

Awesome design love it!! thank you for explaining it in detail and showing it!! will use it for sure!!
I just hopes it helps people enjoy the game a bit more
Looks cozy! Good job on the build! :)
Were not going to talk about the weight of the foundations.

Hey ForgeTec cool video !
I would go for walls & floors instead of Ramps and Corners, less sexy but 1 more Slot available in your inventory ☺

I've come to the conclusion that aluminum buildings are best. Almost zero weight with an angled roof.
