Another great vid for every player whether new or a veteran! I especially like the pincer and hedgehog trap trick - had never thought to use them in that fashion!
here's a tip, if you build stone halfpitches that overhang your walls, the walls will be immune to weather damage, so you can extend the life of most of your structure and save on resources by just upgrading the roof and the overhang to stone+
Placing aditional roof or halfpieces around the edges of your roof will protect the walls below it. With this you can make only a concrete roof with everything else made out of wood or even thatch. I made an amazing base in an outpost made out of inverted concrete roof, concrete beams for weight support (glass and aluminium aren't strong enough) and glass walls, floors and ramp pieces.
@mbatistas did u notice the building on the right @ 7:48 interior wood walls all around. I used half floor pieces and corner roofs to protect it. But I didn't include it in my tips because I already covered this in my build guide... I simply didn't want to repeat the tip.
16 x 16 wood base 3 levels another 4 levels for roof built around drop ship with floor torches when i place inner wall bottom level one torch was to close had no wacker lighting storm started built a 1 x 1 with a window to get out of storm to watch it burn (it was night time too) base started trees on fire and my 1x 1 had to axe my way out all i could do is laugh
the fortification are made of wood so I ASSUME they will burn but i never actually seen lightning strike the wooden gates or walls. if there are fiber near the wooden fortifications and the fiber catches fire and spreads to the walls, that might happen, but i havent seen that either.
Nice Vid! but uhhh, how about a full pack of wolves and a herd of Terranus? (like 10 of each) never have to hunt because they kill everything within range. I am free to farm to my hearts content!
Dm me, I can edit the audio for you for free or show you how to edit your own. It’s easy to remove sibilance. It’s something most TH-camrs do and it’s done on all music records.
I use izotope rx but it may be overkill for what the program can do. Fabfilter de-esser is good and waves makes de essers. Most audio plugins are on sale this time of year through the first of January so it’s a good time to buy.
Oh wow, the compass trick is game changing, can't believe I didn't think of it

LOL... Shush don't tell them that! :D haha
you can log off and relog. it puts out fire.
@@jeewal yes that's already in the tips
The picture at 7:06 needs to be corrected.
This is because aluminum houses have the same storm resistance as stone houses.
@mastersteel-g2p that's the old table...I used it because it had the weather icons in it so people can see and visualize the storm intensity
