I tried doing the 120v fake out but its not working -_- I have a different kit. the one you bought didnt say it was waterproof so I bought one that did. it has a different adapter but on the adapter is shows 110v input to 12v 3amps output.
@@biglogan3690 I haven't had a lot of luck with LED strips staying stuck where I put them. The supplied stickyback usually gives way after a while. Also the clear gel on top the LED bulbs tend to yellow really bad. Please keep us informed how they are doing. ...Thanks Ralph
I have not installed mine yet but I bought 100 ft spool of f 1/2" clear tubing to run my lights and wiring in, clear back to the switch and power source
@@biglogan3690 that is what I was thinking myself! I need one for my fishing light anyway, may hook up a 3 bank inverter. Thank you so much for getting back to me!
Great video but all of that and then at the end you barely even showed what it looked like lit up. Especially the inside. Would have been great to see a little more of what it looked like when it got dark on the inside. I want to do this to my new pontoon
Lol yes! 10 more minutes and it would have been dark out! All that work making a great video and then to put down a knee at the 2 yard line is heartbreaking. Fun guys to hang out with I bet
No sir. We used a 3M tackifier wipe to prep the aluminum. This was also a brand new boat / maiden voyage so other boats may require some more attention for prep. Good Luck!
Nice work. Only critique is that you only gave 25 seconds out of almost 11 min to show off the lights. Would have love to see them when it was darker. Also, are bugs attracted to the interior lights? Does one color seem to pull them in more than others? THANKS!
@@biglogan3690 I have a new to me 07 Aqua Patio and I want to exchange the stock headlights with LED lights. Not a lot of info on this. If you have a source for lights, would love to know. thanks
YOU GUYS FUNNY TOO GREAT JOB

It should still be fine, can you test your plug with a multimeter?
@@biglogan3690 what am i testing? im using a govee light kit. i ran 2 wires from the battery to the plug prongs and nothing worked
The Amazon link for the lights is dead. Any chance you can share the info otherwise ( brand, model #, etc.). Would like to do our interior lights.
Didn’t even show it at night haha
Sorry dude…
Awesome video how did they hold up??
Amazing they are on their great!

Nice video bro! Thanks for sharing.
Could you tell me how you tapped into the power supply plug to wire direct to the battery and not utilize a power supply.
So we harvested a positive wire supplying a rocker switch behind the dash. I believe it was a 12_V source for the bilge pump
Thanks!
The strip lights I purchased are minus a power supply. All the power supplies I can find are ac, how do you make that work?
@@kellycottrell1674 Only way to make these work is to get a small AC to DC inverter.

Looks like you have a great group of friends. Nice vid
Only the best man! Thanks for the comment!
Are they 12v only or can they handle the 13-14v while running
Just fine with alternator increases!
Any video of actually mounting the strips
to the interior?
No but since this was self adhesive, it went on simply to underseat plastic tubs.
Looking for leds for my tri toon. Sick job guys. Looks awesome.

This reminds me of the little teenage girls doing the makeup videos.
You seem like someone i can trust so where did you buy a boat like that I like it
You certainly can trust me! I do not know where Adam bought his boat tho...
Why not use the existing unused rocker switch?
Great job
Any issues with the adhesive staying attached? I just bought the same lights and I'm concerned the moisture and splashing water will pull them off.

where can we buy the daisy chain cable?
Hey Robin, I just added the link in the description for this extension kit. Good luck!
This is pretty impressive! You guys (or at least one of you ) clearly knows what you are doing!

Nice truck!
Great video. One question; how did you mount the sensor for the remote?
"Oh I brought a big big bit" the classic words
Great video! Question how did you seal and waterproof them? thinking about doing this on a saltwater pontoon
Thanks! This particular LED rope (see description) has a sealed, flexible Material over the LEDs and Circuitry. Good Luck!
