I’m about to order one to try. I’m mounting a 12” piece of hdpe with 5200 to support my transducer and using spare room beside it for this. My question is are these bright enough to attract baitfish like the submersible ones?
@@twelvetwenty-two353 yeah one has like a high strength 3m adhesive pad attached to the back of it the other uses an epoxy, look up some videos on here you'll see both and they both work very well.
I just bought a 1980 fjord 21 dc its a small inboarder boat and i want to get underwater lights. Since it was all speeded up and i have no idea about any DIY jobs, i just drill holes and the light will seal by itself no need for any sealing around the lights and i need to connect the wires to where? Battery or what?
nicely done an great walkthrough but i still wouldnt be drilling through my hull of my boat use a 2 part waterproof epoxy based. that will hold againist the pressure of any wake
I would have use GROOVE LED Light's myself ( waterproof of course ) IP68 indicates that the level of waterproofing is higher and that you can immerse it in water for a long time.
Well, its been 2 years, how those lights holding up? Alot bad reviews on these lights, plenty of them leaking or burning out. Id like to get them but coming to you for the review after 2 years.
@@TinyBoatNation awesome, very good to hear. This is such an awesome channel, you have so much help and knowledge packed into it it is crazy. I've got a 1987 Grumman TC that I'm doing a restomod on and by the looks I got all the info I need from you guys lol
Everything looks amazing. Been watching your videos for a couple
Years and I just relived your generation are like car generation they keep advancing
Bad ass Mike! It just keeps getting better!
Man that boat with a small center console going to look sick bro, with the small turning wheel and a front seat
It works good. Brought fish and shrimp up to the docks. Kids had a blast
Cool idea, can def. see how handy of an option this would be.
Probably best to just hand tighten with a screwdriver.

That’s pretty awesome. Drilling into the hull makes me nervous though
Get a Stern saver or Stern pad and mount the lights to that instead, no drilling in the hull needed
@@SuperRasean how is the stern saver or pad attached to the stern/hull? Glue or epoxy?

I found they make ones for threaded drain plug holes. So no need for drilling new holes. I just ordered one, I’m excited to see how bright it is!
How did the drain plug lights work out?
Hey saw your AZ plate
Just got a lil floater
Foresee: hours of watching your videos
Many, more than once

Looks dope. Thanks for the vid
Great video, one question though, how did you connect the two lights together to go to one switch?
O gee, if you had to ask such a basic question as that you're best to hire a pro.
together
Those lights look great. Do you have any problem seeing early with those deck leds ?
Thinking about putting them on my 14’ aluminum boat . I have a aluminum transom without wood backing now can I rivet them on?

Would you ever sell tht boat? Definitely would wanna get in line for it
Hey, what should I use for the inside of my bass tracker 14 foot boat for led’s
Which video did you talk about the flooring?
The EVA faux flooring
Or you can use 3M 5200 to install them without drilling holes. Thats how I installed my transducer block.
@@TinyBoatNation Ahhh thats a bummer. Like a frame that clips over the led light housing itself right?

Hey Anthony, where can I locate this GROOVE LED Lights?
What length is that boat
I didn’t see any inline fuse being installed or is it even needed for the leds? Did I miss something? Thanks
You should always use a fuse!
Nice..!!!👍🏼🔥🔥🔥
Nervous about drilling holes below the water line. Looking for leds that can be epoxied
Nice!👍👍👍👍
Are these legal? I know some states don’t allow lights other than the nav and anchor lights.
As long as your navigation light and stern light is on while running

One went down and I had to replace it, but it was cheap. They’re really good value for the money.
@@TinyBoatNation thank you for the honest input, did it flood out or burn out?
How's the longevity of the lights?

Will my boat sink if I do it myself? :D
Maybe!
how are the bugs?
@@TinyBoatNation nice
I would of marked the holes then drill then used silicone around the holes and the housing of the light but that's just me
Actually seriously thinking about purchasing their 25' pontoon boat lighting for the sides.
Cek harga boss 🙏
Hand tighten is best
No unnecessary holes in my boat.
If that screw strippes out the aluminum you aren’t screwed…
Why not just go in the metal that's already there
I can see it now , people driving them home and crushing the lense .....NEVER use a power tool with intricate products
Nah ill weld brackets on instead of drilling holes
Good call
The reviews for these lights are horrid. 29% have 1 star with lots of complaints. I don’t mind paying more if the quality is there.
Hope you’ll update if you have problems. I really wanted to add this to my 1542. I do a lot of night boating.
Wonder how many issues were due to poor installation.
