@Ozsportscard Collector 2.5 only reason I known i was there and we talked about that card specifically off camera and whether we should even bother. We both agreed we like Prizm Choice enough to go for it if the price was reasonable.
That 50K will generate about 25K in sales on Whatnot.

The lack of vintage is just crazy. PSA 8s of Mays, Aaron and Mantle would have been achievable given these restrictions

Ugh...market is gross rn. Back when, people would GLADLY pay last comp and even OVER and have confidence in the hobby and market to have the card still increase in value. Now the trend is to pay 20 percent less than last comp. YUK! Tell me, how will this fair in the end you think? If someone continuously keeps trying to lessen 20 percent here and there? Things will eventually run out of percents and hit zeros with this strategy. Sureeee it benefits YOU in the SHORT term, but the hobby and market as a whole? You and others who continue to cheap out are only hurting the market in the LONG term IMO. #currentmarkettrendsandstrategiesareselfishandhurtful😥😥
Also side note that scares me, all the recent top sports influencers have recently posted 50 to 100k spending sprees, but they all seem to be sponsored by whatnot. The fear is that these influencers wouldn't have done these sprees on their own money rn because of the market, so it feels like it is only a few big players like whatnot still spending to try to keep the market out of the hole, for their benefit of course, but scary if you are an investor because it shows not many big players left around as before to purchase cards...so either big cards have to crash or will be stashed for decades again by those with the means to do so..

@Dpollect Those declining ebay sales are happening because actual people are selling for those low numbers. It's not ebay's fault. So many people, who don't care about cards, came into the hobby to make a quick buck during the last 2 years and now they're getting out of it. Prices were stupid high and now they're where they actually should be.

If you go to Whatnot, most of the breaks are a massacre for the breakers these days. They’re losing TONS of money on breaks. It won’t be long until only the biggest breakers, with dedicated whales, are the only ones left.

So @whatnot is giving multiple creators 50k to buy stuff to sell on thier platform. Some of those creators have never even sold there. Yet people are struggling to sell because of glitches and algorithm issues. SMH. Makes no sense. And to make it worse, every single one of the creators are buying higher dollar cards. You guys will be lucky to get 1/2 the money back. Whatnot buyers want everything for $1. Should have made deals on them $1-$10 boxes...
So If Your Buying them at a Retail Price, and got a Discount on some, but not buying them at a wholesale price....What kind of Profit is to be made... Spend 50k just to only make back a few thousand back profit which is the price that the dealers knocked off the bulk price.... Doesn't seem like there is any profit to be made.

Whatnot is pure crap. Hard pass for me. Probably will go under at some point. I would think the company is doing poorly when they need to give youtube channels money to help pump up the site. If the site was doing well they wouldn't of done this promotion.
