I think the toughest thing with deals (especially this 1st one) is it's not the dealer's job to get you the cards at a price that you still have room to resell them. (if that makes sense) and that's where I think deals fall apart all the time. Just have to find prices that are fair all the way around. (thats tough to do sometimes)

Are you able to give us a financial breakdown on how this all pans out after selling? Would be good to see realistic expectations if people wanted to try doing this themselves (bearing in mind that you have a large community to join the streams).
not surprised people buy $1-$2 cards from creators on whatnot but instead are spending $5+ as well as the shipping, sad to see what the app Whatnot has come to. its either a mystery spin for outrageous prices for a "chance" at the sellers "best card" or its an auction from big creators where theyre making 300%+ returns.... I miss when people werent money hungry for an extra $2 smh
the way these guys make there money is from walk ins to there shops. people desperate to sell. and topps and panini giving them loaded boxes. that’s why you should never ever ever buy a box or pack of cards. not saying it’s impossible just highly improbable. just buy the cards individually.

Loved your videos about BIG TIME deals and trades but i have to say buying out the $1 bins at a card show is a bit like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons buying out batteries from all the local groceries stores! I was surprised by this video that Jeff doesn't know if this is a good deal or not. The $5 to $10 cards not being taken care of in sleeves in top loaders is also concerning as this is an extra cost. Also that box seems very overpriced.

I don’t know how much it helps their negotiating when they are “assuming” how many cards are in a box when they are basing their asking number on a per-card price structure? What if there are actually 779 cards and not 1,000? I would think that number needs to be definitively ascertained “IF” you are basing your thinking, pricing and offering around that variable being a real and exact number. Which it can’t e unless you know what that actual number is. Like I’ll sell you for .50 cents a card if you wanna believe there’s 8000 cards when there are really actually 4300. This way of doing it seems problematic, unless they have their own reasons and ways for doing that in their negotiation process that benefits their approach, which only they would know how it does.

I know a guy with a literal entire garage of 90 Fleer and 89 Donruss... stuff like that. The cardboard is worth more than the card itself lol. Total overprinted junk. Rarity = value, when companies start to overproduce, you bail as a collector. That's what tanked prices this last time. Interest came back so the card companies got greedy like they always do and way overprinted. Time to exit until they come back to their senses and give us that ultra rarity we want. First and foremost you need to have an experienced buyer…being in the hobby 40 years I know I can buy patches and autos in volume @ .50 and below a card. Also your buyers should not be advertising who they are you want your buyer to be a mystery because it brings down your cost of entry or your going to pay the mark up on lots because of who you are. Also you need regional buyers so someone based in each region you can send to shows again quietly buying up volume and sending the back to your storefront. It’s not hard to buy in volume the hard part is getting out of the way of someone with real experience in volume deals and let them make you money. Just my opinion as volume buyer that I am I pay much much lower than your current buyer for expample last national I purchased over 50,000 refractors and my price points were much much lower than your paying out and this included stars as well.

Someone wanna explain to an outsider what is collectible about sports cards? Talking about anything made in 2020 and up. Sure you might love a certain team or player, but the collectibility seems limited to me with foils that are supposed to make you go ow its foil thats special. I understand the complaints in the comments but something to consider, this guy has a pretty big fan/customer base so that makes all the difference.
Most of those cards weren't penny sleeved or top loaded. Forgot to factor that additional cost and time.
I wouldn't have touched have those; especially not a 5/10$ range.
