I bought 10 LCD fans for my case , what they don't tell you is that for each bank of fan you need a USB header on your motherboard. My motherboard only has 2 USB headers, so the wireless dongle takes one just for its power and a bank of fans ( 1 fan 2 fan config or 3 fan config ) takes another. I purchased 2 NZXT USB hubs which gives me an extra 8 headers , The Corsair hubs also work too. So these fans are not wireless at all each config of fan still needs to be connected to a USB plug and a plugged into a power connection. All the wireless dongle eliminates is the controller for the RGB controls, so all it eliminates really is just the ARGB connection wires. If you have enough ARGB headers on your motherboard i wouldn't personally opt for the wireless version save a few pounds and go for the non wireless version. I purchased 2x 3 reverse blade lcd ( for the side and Radiator ) as you said they are a little noisier than the normal fans but i do find on the rad they do keep my cpu cool ( 14900k the Volcanoes of CPU's ) using Cinebench on a custom curve CPU temps reaches 85c the fans a definitely more audiable than my old fans but do cool the cpu better by around 5c. The fans look nice the way i have them setup but just beware if you want more than 1 bank of LCD fans you will need a USB header for each bank of LCD's.
This is correct! Actually, with the wireless version you have more cables compared to the TL fans. This is the major critical point on these fans. Each "wireless" fan block needs power and and the LCD version needs a usb port. I love Lian Li but they messed this one up. The TL LCD fans look better and have less cables.
@@mrclamg The Wireless fans LCD ones have 1 less cable ( ARGB cable ) which don't need to be plugged into the motherboard or a controller, But they still have the USB cable and power cable that is needed to be plugged in. The fans are good and compared to my old fans move a lot more air but if i had known that each bank needed and extra USB header i would have only bought 3 LCD fans which would have probably saved me between £50 - £100 as the LCD are more expensive than the non LCD version.
For the INF versions, whether you use reverse or standard makes a difference on whether you can see the infinity hub or not. For some that might not be important, but I like the infinity effect. my only complaint is that it doesn't look like they put much actual effort into the L-connect user software interface.
very cool, but I’m worried about adding more wireless devices to our desks. we now have phones, mice, keyboards, smartwatches, wifi, wireless speakers, wireless headphones, wireless controller dongles, air pods, smart room lights, smart TVs, and now we are adding PC case fans into the mix. I’m worried about interference between this long list of devices.
Would you please make a video and talk about the downsides of the heavy cpu air coolers? Also would be a bonus if you speak about down draft coolers as well and do a sort of comparison between them and tower coolers.
oh and its grass trimmer becomes 'strimmer' the assiociation is a grass trimmers blade is a rigid plastic strand - anything that resembles a rigid plastic strand of - lets say 10 gauge or 2.5ishmm becomes a strimmer blade, which is a nice.
Building a new pc rn with these fans and um… i bought a 3 pack with controller but I dont see the USB controller anywhere its just a hub and thats it, also im having trouble powering my LCD fans my normal non LCD fans are working really well its just my lcd not spinning or lighting up
It would be nice to see how all these perform with the signalRGB software. Using that you can sync your entire setup including mouse, keyboard, Philips Hue lights and more. Curious to see if the wireless ones work with it and if you can change the gifs with signalRGB
Well I'm disappointed with intel too as I was one of the lucky ones to get an Ultra 9... I think it was released far to early but watching Jay2cents video I could pair it with better ram but that would set me back around £230 to £500 now bearing in mind I've spent £1100 however when he used that ram the performance improvement was over 100%. I do believe that they'll be a few Bios and windows updates that will fox that issue. When I brought the Ryzen 7 7800x3d at launch I had loads issues so I'll give it time to mature

Question from a newbie. My aio is corsair lcd. Couldi use that hub to connect these as well? I havent built my pc yet still waiting on parts to arrive. But these fans look amazing and want to use them in my setup
Hey Markus, I don't understand why there are some people that don't like RGB lighting! I think RGB makes a PC come to life in such an awesome way. The PC fans have been improving as time goes on. The main objective of the fans is to keep the PC as cool as possible.😅😊
the uni lcd fans gave me nothing but trouble softwarewise... lian li really needs to work on their l-connect software... i still can not believe that they charged me 50$ per fan for fans that are not working as intended half of the time... still having crashes regularly because the fans just keep disconnecting while my pc is under load so my cpu keeps overheating when l-connect just decides to say goodbye for a few seconds, also the updates have made gifs on the displays unusable like 2 months now with the newest update it is fixed... but i would highly highly recommend to not buy these fans until lian li fixes their damn software!
That’s because the performance drop is negligible. LTT I believe did a video of this with full size 2nd screen, and it made no difference to fps in games on the main screen. 5yrs ago it might’ve.
They look awesome as Hex LCD's. I REALLY don't like the outside lines. It makes them look tacky and white trash. Make the outside HEX and the fan blades solid color LED to be really cool.
Great fans, if you're 10, and love the unicorn RGB sick vibe 🤮. I sold my lian li Sl120 V2 fans after a week. Settled on the Pro wings 4 fans. No shitty RGB and outperform these overpriced Lian Li fans!!
Corsair quality has really gone down hill. I used to love Corsair but is now a brand I avoid. You should have never released the 6500 case bc that thing was TRASH!
