The Harmonica Barge was created by Music graduate, teacher and professional musician Ed Hopwood. He studied music performance at The University of West London with a speciality in music education.
Ed plays far too many instruments and needs to stop buying any more as there's not enough room on the barge.

This is great, clear and succinct and delivered with simple ease by an actual bloke.
Binging on Tuba Skinny while down with the flu and a link in the comments brought me here.
I thoroughly enjoyed that, as a bluegrass/old timey music fan for many years in between my time as a merchant mariner.
I smile when I think how when all your young mates were dreaming of doctoring, astronaut, engineer what was going on behind your smile.
I don't envy many, I'm content with my life, but then again there's you with yours
Fun and inspiring, thank you for the demo.
Thanks a lot for your time posting your video! Very entertaining and inspiring, gonna get myself one to add to my instruments.
Greetings from Portugal

Nice!...I always want to know how play this kind of instrument. I play for 27 years African, Brasilian and Flamenco percusion...but now I want to learn this one. Thank you for your time and lesson. And tell me where can I buy the whashboard and wish one is the best or more close to get the New Orleans sound.
Great Lesson! Thanks!
Your welcome!
Washboard series to follow :)
Try cut down shotgun cartridges, good percussive sound they don't come off your fingers easily, seen them first with a Disneyland Paris skiffle band, puts an end to flying thimble syndrome.
How do you cut them down?
awesome
The scrub is like a crushed roll. I'm learning! But I would like a short scrub. Yes, the triplets are drummy, but do they fit Cajun/Zydeco ? I think not.
Just love your music....
thanks!! :)

Hi Ed, I play percussion in a band and I'm looking to give the washboard a go. Been looking for one on ebay but most of them are the glass one's. I'm presuming they're not suitable? Aluminium best?
Cheers
Gary

Where can I buy one like this
Not always easy to find but eBay worth a look
What’s the best metal or glass washboard?
metal less breakable!!
I only regret that I have but one like to give 👍
thanks!!
Is that an 8 inch symbol?
no it's a metal espresso cup saucer!
I've actually replaced that for a cymbal though now but it fell off at a gig. You've just reminded me I have to fix it :) thanks
